well, this game doesn't automatically generate a house for you, but the freedom of building and the player-run economy makes it interesting, though I will admit there are some downsides to Eco.
Eco is the closest thing to "statville" in terms of a video game where individuals effect the outcome. You basically hop into a server with like 100 other players and create society, it got a huge update recently that overhauled government. Now you can form towns, towns can form into countries, and countries can form into larger entities like the EU.

@@RadioTelevizijaPrijecani When you start from scratch in blender you end up with three things, a camera, a light source and a cube instead of an empty workspace. So to make things easy, you just delete everything, including the default cube, just by reaction. Then you remember "oh wait, I need an object to be able to model", so you spawn in the simplest base object, a default sized cube.
To be fair, most of the time people are throwing referance images and other things into the workspace as well, or using some of the other default objects, so the reaction of deleting everything on a new file to start off isn't actually that confusing.
I found the Instagram a bit over seven months ago, in June, and I joined the discord when it was less than a week old. It was a simple thing at the time, and I never gave it much thought. That is, until I started speaking to different people there. Now, some of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting were met through Statville. Sam, Vaughn, Erica, Luna, Charles, Cal, Daniel, Ash, Josie, Emilia, and everyone else that may have escaped my mind, if any of you are reading this, then please remember that I love you all to death. A few little clicks of buttons have changed my life. And to you, Mr. Statville, I owe the greatest thanks of all. You've given me a distraction through some of the darkest times of my life, like being in a mental hospital and losing my father. I will never, ever be able to express my full gratitude. Thank you for your "simple experiment"

As a long term resident of Statville, being here since the boom on days 156-158, I'm glad to say that I'm extremely grateful for the community. Everyone is so kind and friendly, I have made many friends within the server going all the way up to our lovely Neil! I own Wake Up Brew and I'm happy to put the work in for it that I do- although I should put more in- procrasination is a monster and finally- I'm very thankful for you Mr. Statville for this amazing city, without it I'm sure I would still feel alone, even with my non-statville friends, they have lives and I wasn't able to socialise as much as I wanted to due to not having any friends irl (ik sad)

So happy to see that Statville wasnt just a one of project. It is unreal to see the city building being done by one person and to keep it up for a year, most people would had given up after a week.

The fanbase surrounding this project has been wild. Especially the strong Discord community - one that I myself have been a part of since its release 7 months ago, and is a long-time moderator of. Many memories with people who've I encountered along the way, especially amongst the really tight Staff Team.

Really cool. A tip for lessoning workload is to make other people do the work lol, hold an architecture/layout design competition for your followers to submit buildings (with a max poly count or something) and vote on and you get 1. free labour. 2. Community engagement 3. Make people feel more invested in the project.

I joined statville around the 100 day mark it was a lot of fun being apart of the early days and being able to vote on things that would make a difference. the thing i remember most about the early days was the F1 track. i remember opening up insta and being able to vote on the design of it and it was amazing. i’ve missing out on stuff with statville recently but this video definitely made me want to get back into and join more of the community! you’ve made a great thing!

This is all wonderful but I’m frankly saddened that there are still no lighthouses in all of Statville. This must be remedied. The masses support this movement. I will stop at nothing to ensure that lighthouse development remain a top priority.

Having joined before the initial train, it's like a rewind, watching all of it again.
I remember joining and just after doing so voting for the airport, and then seeing it grow by thousands in the next week(s). It was awesome but also felt like it become too big for me, so I became disinterested. The project was and is still an awesome idea, great job.

It's incredible how easily communities arise. Most people that joined, and stayed, probably did for the friends they made through Statville. It gives you such a sense of belonging, almost as if you're actually part of this city. A nice escape compared to modern cities irl where for the most part everyone can only live for themselves

What an amazing project to have. I don't even know how you can handle that much city building without an automated plugin to create the city for you based on community interactions.
I think this is one of the best things, Not just on instagram but in the world. This goes to show how many people are actually willing to make the betterment for our lives, just imagine if the same people took effort into doing this in real life. It just shows that a fake city is still booming on the internet, As if it was portland or new york, or chicago. Great job and I love this concept.
