I agree with you but I'm running into reports of folks having quality control and other issues with this truck concerning software glitches, bad modules and fit and trim. What do you think? I tend to give these kinds of new vehicle iterations a couple years but I really don't want to wait.

@@SirtubalotTX Yes I agree. When shopping for an F150 my sales person told me to stay away from the Hybrid for now. He drove one himself and sent me screenshots of his that broke down and other customers he had sold a hybrid too. I ended up going with the 5.0 Lariat.

@@marlostanfield8763 Thanks for the info, not giving up on the F150 Hybrid but might wait awhile. Also like the Lightning but don't want to participate in the waiting game and the time it might take to get one.
Market is stupidly warped right now but thankfully,, I'm blessed and don't have to play by its rules. I might even jump on a 5.0, we'll see.

I drive a 2018 STX supercrew 4x4. The STX isn't the nicest truck ford makes, but it is the nicest one I can afford to pay for. The tech Ford is putting in these modern F150's is insane. To add perspective to my post, I drove a 2006 XLT for 15 years. Imagine my surprise when they showed all the cool stuff in a 2018 model truck. I edit my videos on a supped up thread ripper powered editing rig and my truck has more usb ports (LOL) This is a great time to be a truck owner.

Enjoyed watching, although I’ve been following Ford F-150 for awhile due to the hybrid integration. I believe Ford’s utility and ergonomic cabin design hits all the consumer points of interest and ease of use. The tech is savvy and forward. I’m looking at the Limited Powerboost Hybrid. Of course the 2021 Raptor 37 negates all modifications needed for a regular F-150. 😂 … Drive safe! #Ford, #F150, #FordHybrid

could have had better MPG in Eco mode. Turns out the cloth seat headrest is comfortable. So I bought a PowerBoost XLT for 54k, and really enjoying it, even without the massaging seats and Blue Cruise. I do like that the XLT has a nice-sized openb box where a floor shifter would have been; the box is great for napkins and fast food. Since I am liking this truck, so much, I figure I will flip it for a Lightning in the next year, which I will like even more probably. Thanks for the good review, and I liked the camera review/ad, too.

What is the resale value of a hybrid truck in 5-7 years (average loan term) when the batteries are only pushing out 60% power? Two years later it's due for a (very expensive) pack replacement. Say what, the Foed interior is much nicer than any Tacoma/Tundra interior. I think your confused and have it backwards. The toyota interior is a joke and is plasticky. I think you just be joking lol

That power folding shifter is f-ing dumb. Why not just do what they did for the super duty? Use a simple column shifter.

    The engine is not a 3.6l. It’s a twin turbo 3.5l

Off road “Driving Modes” are marketing gimmicks. If, as a potential buyer of an off-road capable vehicle, you do not know how basic 4WD (not all-wheel drive) systems work, educate yourself before you buy. Also, there is nothing inherently wrong with leaf-sprung, solid rear axels. In fact, they are less expensive, more durable and offer greater true off-road articulation. Certainly if you are concerned about sports-car like handling, IRS is more suitable. But for hauling, towing, and off-road work, the rear suspension systems on F-150, 250, 350 etc (Same for GM, RAM, Toyota and Nissan trucks with the exception of some coil sprung axels) AND the author’s own 4Runner are proven, reliable and durable. True that they do ride more harshly, but put a load on them and the ride smooths right out. That is a design consideration. Do you want them to ride better at the expense of load and trailering capability? Otherwise, this is a great review of a potentially market changing product. Kudos to Ford, and hey Toyota, you may have missed the boat with the new Tundra.

Not sure how that got in there. Yes, should have said the 3.5. At least we got the HP right. 🥳 (human error happens even on huge shows, let alone small operations like ours.)

this is a amazing truck. the only stupid thing is the gear selector. why don't ford just use button? the driver has to wait all the way down and up and also may increase failure rate
