Gonçalo Moreira Of course they're not running and jerking the camera around all the time, they know its a vid that will be presented for E3. They are trying to show what the game is to us. It is scripted for sure, but you stated that they were all friendly but they did fight other players. They went into detail talking about what happens when you do.

Critique from this video:
-too much stuff on the hud and too many arcade effects (ruins immersion imo)
-Graphics seem to be downgraded from previous trailers (why mislead your audience?)
-Those "elites" don't really seem that dangerous... Ai was just standing there, out of cover, not even trying to flank or use "elite" tactics against there opponent.
Knowing Ubisoft, I'm not expecting much from this, lets hope I'm wrong.
lolizmu I agree that some of those sci-fi / arcade hud elements are little distracting and I would see option to turn them off.

I know this game is old but I would love to see the same update you guys gave for the division 2 to this game, retracing better lighting 60 to 120 frames a second I think this game would be phenomenal because I actually went back to this game just because and I’m really enjoying it I forgot how much fun this game really is and I would love to see this update in the division 1

Now we are in 2019 nearly to 2020 and the sad fact that when I watch this gameplay mechanics video I miss it sooooo much, why Ubisoft Massive never hold on on this gameplay / mechanics?

Looks pretty good even on Xbox One. There is one thing I don't understand yet. Why should we wait for extraction and hold the zone until the timer runs out if we can't leave with the helicopter? Can't we just leave on foot and take the contaminated gear with us?

What happened to the seemlessly enter with no loading screen...there may be no actual loading screen but you do not enter the dark zone like this...

you can enter the dark zone just like that, even the same specific entrance os there. it's called "DZ Entrance" on the map instead of Checkpoint

That's what I'm trying to figure out in the beta like it would be cool if only one person could take it so the game can last longer
It’s the future sealed caches and DZ crate loot are shared among the group while loot dropped by NPCs are not shared

So.. That 'Rogue' thing. Will be the same as DayZ 99% will be rogue, or don't take the gamble because they don't trust anyone. Maybe instant, or after killing a horde etc. 5% will actually coöperate, and maybe will not fuck you over in the end.
Lol laughing so hard as I play the beta as I read this and look and see no one being a dick unless you have bad intentions…there's literally only like 2 groups on the map that will ever kill on sight and when they're rouge they'll do it more but that's it and everyone teams up on them and they lose…don't judge before playing

So I just thought that would be the case. If I had the info about the dark zone that I have now my thought on that would be different.

+Viorel it is at your base of operations right when you walk in there is a chest on the wall in front of you and there you can find your extracted loot.

Ahhhhhh if only this is how the DZ worked out. Good team work, other combatant agents not facespamming you with a shotgun, and LOOK how sweet, right at the debt they shared all their loot with stabbing each other at the end. How nieve the developers were lol

I don't, wouldn't play any of these, even for free.
And I just played the beta, got bored in 20 minutes flat, counting all the tutorial videos and cinematics and useless fluff you have to put up with before there's any action.

Must be an incredible game to the average guy (which is exactly who generic games are supposed to appeal to), to me it's boring.
There's literally zero chance of it somehow getting better with friends.
Also this is what I do, I'm the one who tries games and then tell my friends if they should bother or not, and they shouldn't.

You do know that wall is in the game where you can choose to simply jump over it right? Lol it's actually fairly close to one of the entrances to the Dark Zone
Sean I stand corrected. The first alpha I played glitched I think as I played for hours and they're where no enemy AI in the darkzone. Elian the video shows they seamlessly climb the walk into the dark zone. Which is not how it works. You go through a door into the room that holds a merchant and a restock box then through another door (gate they call it) into the darkzone. It's no massive change I know but this video show them going straight from free froaming around the map where other players can't be killed jumping over the wall and straight into the dark zone

This is the only pain in the ass. You can't just run it out... it HAS to be via helicopter. People are just gonna camp extraction zones and look whoever shows up.
I like that mechanic. I mean, hold the area for 90 seconds. It's 90 seconds...

Czarewich Hardcore shooters aren't really made for third person. It's far too easy compared to FPS.
EyeofValor There are plenty of complex / hardcore TPS games. Ghost Recon, and America's Army, SOCOM: Navy Seals, to name a few.

EyeofValor Ghost Recon is not known for being easy. Maybe compared to ARMA, sure, but not compared to something like Halo or Killzone.
Looking forward to doing nearly 0 PVP. Not a big fan of greefers, which this game will have far too many. People are just going to kill people for the hell of it regardless of their loot.
I don't like seeing a persons name up top of their head when they're not part of your group. It looks like you can see where they're hiding be hide cover. When someone is rouge you shouldn't be able to see them or anyone apart from your group. Should have a hardcore mode removing all the stats above head.

Lightning looks like shit... Shadows are super low res. I wonder if this will be the same on PC (my platform) or just a thing on consoles. Don't get me wrong, i care about gameplay mostly, but if the game doesnt offer at least good lightning and shadows, it ruins the immersion. Also, the video seems captured on XB1 wich might explain the lower res. Anyway, besides the obvious downgrade, it is still interesting, just not a day 1 buy and pre order is never an option with Ubisoft.

Environment interaction where are you? I don't care much about the graphics here, but the destruction system looks very dull now compare to E3 2013... Everything seems so static. Ubisoft, I really don't understand why you keep trying your best to get all the hate.
neocaron Not to mention, we've seen almost nothing of the story. What was originally showcased in 2013 as "Civilization has collapsed, etc" and as an emotional fight to ensure NYC survives in 2014, is essentially just "virus broke out, go kill ppl." There's been a massive visual downgrade. I've seen none of the features that the Snowdrop Engine trailer showcased. Months after E3 I think in 2014, they announced downgrades across the board, with a 30 FPS cap. It looks far more shooter than it does RPG. The groups touted as being interesting just seem like bullet sponges with shit AI. The whole helicopter extraction makes no sense to me either. I was really fucking suspicious when I heard Ubisoft was involved with this. I'm going to wait and see what the beta looks like. But it doesn't come out until December, which gives them under 2 months to fix any problems and add finishing touches before shipping the game.

I am absolutely disappointed with the graphics downgrade but not surprised. I'm sure gameplay is well executed but the fact that developers are lying to their customers by showing us a certain level of fidelity, getting their customers excited and following, then downgrading it down the development cycle leads me to believe that they are deliberately doing this as a business strategy to get the game noticed. Don't tell me it's something they were forced to downgrade because of them suddenly realizing they were dealing with technology restraints. They knew perfectly well the technology capabilities of their game from start. This is a sly of hands and we got dupped once again. Need I remind many of you: Watch Dogs anyone?

This doesn't look near as good as what they've shown before, not only graphics, but gameplay too, because in the initial gameplay footage, enemies died in a realistic way, now they just drop like a sack of potatoes (NPC enemies). And I can't be the only one who thinks that once you kill a group of players you should worry about them coming back and stealing your loot.
I know downgrades are common these days, but are you fucking serious Ubisoft?

This game, with its plastic guns and bullets that take a stupid number of bullets to kill someone, as well as the contrived nature of the set pieces designed to give the illusion of freedom means that this game "looks crap".
