The authors will also discuss their new books. Dawkins recently published The Magic of Reality: How We Know What's Really True, an exploration of the magic of discovery embodied in the practice of science. Written for all age groups, the book moves forward from historical examples of supernatural explanations of natural phenomena to focus on the actual science behind how the world works.
Krauss's latest book, A Universe from Nothing: Why There is Something Rather than Nothing, explains the scientific advances that provide insight into how the universe formed. Krauss tackles the age-old assumption that something cannot arise from nothing by arguing that not only can something arise from nothing, but something will always arise from nothing.
Founded in 2008, the ASU Origins Project is a university-wide transdisciplinary initiative aimed at facilitating cutting edge research and inquiry about origins questions, enhancing public science literacy, and improving science education. Since its inception, the Origins Project has brought the world's leading scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, to Tempe to explore origins questions. The Origins Project has hosted workshops and public events that have focused on questions as fundamental as the origin of the universe, how life began, the origins of human uniqueness, and the origins of morality.
I am an engineer from Afghanistan, I really love the reasoning of Lawrence Krauss.

Therefore it is a painful learning experience. Yet...he goes into such scientific detail...that it is a powerful learning experience. Hard to find the perfect channels

Here is some science, not religion.
Cabrera Museum
Dr. Dennis Swift was shown around the museum by Dr Javier Cabrera and he was surprised at what some of the stones depicted. He saw protopeople riding pteranodons. Dr. Cabrera held up a stone of copter [pteranodons with the drawing of a man riding upon it. Some of these pteranodons were stupendously large. Quetzalcoatlus, the largest flying creature known to existed had a gigantic wingspan of fifty-one feet or more, larger than that of many jetfighter airplanes today. Another specimen had a skull and crest that measured five feet nine inches in length. The stones also indicated that the Pre Columbian Indians also had dinosaur ranches. So Marco Polo in China was right when it came to dinosaurs being trained at a young age to pull the Emperor’s chariots. It stands to reason that some of them would have been burden bearers. In history, very often the majority opinion is wrong.
As the tour of the museum was coming to a close, Dr. Cabrera opened up a photo album and he proceeded to show Dr. Dennis Swift photos of dignitaries to whom he had given stones. There was a photo of Dr. Cabrera with the Queen of Spain with an engraved stone so big it had to be hoisted with crane. He gave another to the Queen of Sweden and they stood together with a massive stone. Still a third photo was of him with Shirley MacLaine. Dr. Dennis Swift repeatedly offered Dr. Cabrera money for one of these unique priceless stones, but he insisted that he would not sell them. Dr. Cabrera also gave one to Dr. Dennis Swift’s wife affectionately known as the Queen of Beaverton, with a T.Rex and triceratops engraved on it. It stands to reason that none of these ICA Stones were cheap forgeries made by peasants. Dignitaries only want that which is genuine and they possess the means to verify their authenticity. Forget about your Radio Metric Dating for dinosaurs and rocks, they are not millions of years old. The evidence is absolutely clear they were contemporary with humans not so long ago.
The truth should be told in all schools and universities that evolution is a religion.
The Evolutionary Origin of Birds
This is a matter of deduction, it is all guess work. Pure fantasy and imagination based on the artificial geologic column. There is no fossil evidence of the stages through which this remarkable change from reptile to bird was achieved. Impossible alterations needed in order to change a reptile into a bird: A “variety of feathers” covering the bird, growth of wings, strengthening of certain muscles, higher blood sugar levels and body temperate levels, this is a drastic change, total revision of respiratory, nervous and reproductive systems, lightening of bones in order for it to fly, new digestive system and instinctive behaviours, every specie is subject to irreducible complexity. This is a problem for Darwinian Evolutionary Religion and a bridge too far for natural selection based on random mutations relative to the genome. It is not possible to have a build-up of genetic complexity. Irreducible complexity speaks for itself. They say it takes about 20 transitional forms [guesswork] to change one- specie into another. Charles Darwin said, “As by this theory innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth? Good question Charlie! The number of intermediate links between all living and extinct species must have been inconceivably great!
A note on Comparative anatomy
This not evidence for evolution. It just means that when you have a good design you use it to create a variety of species. For example: the foot, knee and ankle. Man invented the wheel, utilizing it on carts, bicycles, cars, trams, steering wheels etc.
Evolution is on trial here not Creation.
If there were a number of evolutionists in a room with one creationist, who do you think would have the legitimate right to throw a stone? If the creationist said to the evolutionists show me fossil evidence of macro-evolution on a grand- scale. All the evolutionists would have to leave the room one by one, beginning at the eldest to the youngest; he would be left alone in the room. The creationist would be the one that had the legitimate right to throw stones at all the evolutionists, but he could not do so. Being a Christian he would show love and have mercy upon the willingly ignorant, praying that they may come to their senses! Being caught up in evolution being your occupation when suddenly the light comes on is not an easy position to find yourself in. As one molecular biologist said to me anonymously, that he could see design in all living organisms but he could not say he didn’t believe in evolution or he would be out of a source of income, words to the effect.
Objectivity of Science

Here is science that has been observed, tested and studied. Enjoy! A spanner in the works, proving what evolutionists are really made off. Dinosaurs Contemporary with Humans
Dr Don Patton PhD in geology studied at Indiana State University, Cambridge U.K and finally finished at Queensland University Australia, after 15 years of work, he earned an accreditation which was withdrawn by Professor Wilson who was appointed Head of Department of Geology and Mineralogy at the Queensland University between 1960 to 1986; because they did not like giving degrees to Creationists. He had to work another two years before he finally got his accreditation for his PhD.
He did excavations at Glen Rose Texas at the Paluxy River Bed, which yielded dinosaur footprints and human footprints in the same rock strata being Cretaceous lime stone that is supposed to be 140 million years old! Dinosaur bones can be eroded and redeposited, they can also be intrinsically buried and here is the difference, you cannot do that with dinosaur and human tracks that have formed from sedentary mud and have turned into hard rock. The Paluxy River bed contains dinosaur footprints that you can walk in alongside human footprints, destroying the myth that dinosaurs lived millions of years before man, they were contemporary. When sediment was washed out of the human footprints, you could see clearly 5 toes and relative heel prints in pristine condition. Human footprints, seen inside dinosaur tracks; which is conclusive evidence. There were 135 dinosaur tracks but 14 human tracks in a right to left direction, going from right to left through the dinosaur tracks, some beside and within, clear evidence for those of a sound mind. Evolutionists enjoy the term erosion, but it does not fit with the actual observed evidence. These have not been carved as they were excavated from under overbearing rocks. You cannot have erosion as an answer to pristine patterns of human footprints. These are desperate remarks from evolutionists who love to grasp at straw men. They were not carved, it is not logical; how do you get underneath overbearing rocks? The layers are about 6 feet of alternating clay and lime stone, and so the reasoning by evolutionists does not make any sense. Dr Don Patton presented his findings to the Tennessee State University to a group of senior geologists; he showed the tracks and explained the process of coming to his conclusion: dinosaurs and humans were contemporary. There were about 50 Grad Students of geology present, they could not argue with his findings, so they looked back to the Head of the Department for a response. His rely was ridiculous to say the least. He said, we do not know whether back then, that there were dinosaurs with human feet. Then Dr Patton replied and we do not know whether humans had dinosaur feet and he went on to say, if they were human tracks would they look any different than todays? The Head of the Department didn’t like that answer, so he just walked away. The Curator of the Dallas Museum of Natural History came down and so the evidence and went away upset, then he came again and went away upset. He came back the third time, having been thinking about the problem and said to Dr Patton, I know what these are, even though they look like human tracks, they really are not human tracks, they were made by aliens! He was as serious as he could be. They simply do not want to accept what is clear pristine evidence. Dr Patton replied, if they are aliens and more intelligent than us; being from a distant galaxy what are they doing walking about barefoot? He didn’t like that answer so he walked away. Dr Don Patton has presented his evidence to about 100 universities in America with no positive outcome in recognition of the facts. The Darwinian box is so hardly jammed upon their heads they cannot get it off and see sense. I have no respect for evolutionists who deliberately suppress, ignore and disregard any evidence against evolution.

😂 , evolution is everywhere , when u see viruses and bacteria get resistant to certain drugs that’s evolving , they change , mutation occurs within them to change their structure to adapt to the new environment, in smaller species like that it’s quite obvious , for humans who are more complex a full morphing into another kind of phenotypically different human would obviously take longer time hundreds to millions of years but genetically our bodies become resistant to certain diseases , if you stay in sub Saharan africa like myself a Nigerian , you have your immune system better enhanced to defend you from malaria a condition which any one from the west could easily die from if not treated well. Adaptation genetically is very evident in humans of today . In animals evolution is quite evident , the extinction of species is also proof that a group of organisms who don’t adapt can die out , invoking a perfect designer who is very much ok with his creations dying out without any external help to prevent or stall this is also not so reasonable , if I created something and I saw it disintegrating each day and I made no move to restore it , would I really be a creator ? I am not saying that there is no creator , 😂 just that there is evidence of evolution all around us you just have to look . Evidence of creator - not so obvious that doesn’t disprove it however .Just not in the sense of all powerful , all loving , all patient , doesn’t want anyone to die .....

Two corrupt minds simply ignoring the truth! First, there is no means of dating rocks to be millions of years old! No Radio Metric Dating methods can be trusted! Lead/ Uranium for an example: You can find rocks with radio= isotopes in them decaying, but you do not know the consistency of the rock at the very beginning: how much lead verses uranium was contained within it. Nobody knows! No scientist was present to see the decay process begin, just like no scientist was present to see chemicals come together and form living cells billions of years ago! Give me a break, give me some science, things I can observe, test and study. As for lead being found in a rock relative to uranium; there are other decaying elements that also turn into lead and leave no trace, that they were there in the beginning. All your assumptions, suppositions, presuppositions, speculative thinking all revolves around Darwinian Evolution being their axis of rotation. You know that coal seams, diamonds, gas and oil all contain carbon and are found in the geology of the earth, carbon only dates in thousands of years, not millions of years. Dr Don Patton PhD in geology studied at Indiana State University, Cambridge U.K and finally finished at Queensland University Australia, after 15 years of work, he earned an accreditation which was withdrawn by Professor Wilson who was appointed Head of Department of Geology and Mineralogy at the Queensland University between 1960 to 1986; because they did not like giving degrees to Creationists. He had to work another two years before he finally got his accreditation for his PhD.
He did excavations at Glen Rose Texas at the Paluxy River Bed, which yielded dinosaur footprints and human footprints in the same rock strata being Cretaceous lime stone that is supposed to be 140 million years old! Dinosaur bones can be eroded and redeposited, they can also be intrinsically buried and here is the difference, you cannot do that with dinosaur and human tracks that have formed from sedentary mud and have turned into hard rock. The Paluxy River bed contains dinosaur footprints that you can walk in alongside human footprints, destroying the myth that dinosaurs lived millions of years before man, they were contemporary. When sediment was washed out of the human footprints, you could see clearly 5 toes and relative heel prints in pristine condition. Human footprints, seen inside dinosaur tracks; which is conclusive evidence. There were 135 dinosaur tracks but 14 human tracks in a right to left direction, going from right to left through the dinosaur tracks, some beside and within, clear evidence for those of a sound mind. Evolutionists enjoy the term erosion, but it does not fit with the actual observed evidence. These have not been carved as they were excavated from under overbearing rocks. You cannot have erosion as an answer to pristine patterns of human footprints. These are desperate remarks from evolutionists who love to grasp at straw men. They were not carved, it is not logical; how do you get underneath overbearing rocks? The layers are about 6 feet of alternating clay and lime stone, and so the reasoning by evolutionists does not make any sense. Dr Don Patton presented his findings to the Tennessee State University to a group of senior geologists; he showed the tracks and explained the process of coming to his conclusion: dinosaurs and humans were contemporary. There were about 50 Grad Students of geology present, they could not argue with his findings, so they looked back to the Head of the Department for a response. His rely was ridiculous to say the least. He said, we do not know whether back then, that there were dinosaurs with human feet. Then Dr Patton replied and we do not know whether humans had dinosaur feet and he went on to say, if they were human tracks would they look any different than todays? The Head of the Department didn’t like that answer, so he just walked away. The Curator of the Dallas Museum of Natural History came down and so the evidence and went away upset, then he came again and went away upset. He came back the third time, having been thinking about the problem and said to Dr Patton, I know what these are, even though they look like human tracks, they really are not human tracks, they were made by aliens! He was as serious as he could be. They simply do not want to accept what is clear pristine evidence. Dr Patton replied, if they are aliens and more intelligent than us; being from a distant galaxy what are they doing walking about barefoot? He didn’t like that answer so he walked away. Dr Don Patton has presented his evidence to about 100 universities in America with no positive outcome in recognition of the facts. The Darwinian box is so hardly jammed upon their heads they cannot get it off and see sense. I have no respect for evolutionists who deliberately suppress, ignore and disregard any evidence against evolution.

At what point do we really say we don't know, and we have tried everything we possibly can and the more we try the more we realize how impossible life from non life becomes. Therefore the only logical conclusion is that God actually must have done it.
Given the advances that science and rationalism have made over the last couple of years I say it's earned the right to be given a lot longer to prove its case than the nonsensical Middle Eastern fairytales which have been disproved over the last two hundred years.
My son and I watched one of his talks, it was about abiogenesis. My son has just finished a chemistry degree, so was keen to hear this great chemists thoughts. However Tour cherry picked the science to insert a god. My son was very cross “Mum that’s just not true, he’s just missed out great chunks of working chemistry “ “Mum this guy is spinning the science, that’s not right “ etc .....

I’m sure Dr Tour understands the science. He just decided NOT to include it, in his lecture.
I can only assume, it was because by omitting it, it leaves a “supposed” gap in the scientific knowledge of Abiogenesis.
And that newly manufactured gap is a perfect to put his God claim into.
I suppose Dr Tour might just be unaware of all the data (the stuff he missed out) but I personally think that is unlikely.

If the universe was created by an "intelligence," it would've been an accident. These laws may be complicated, but they are in no way "fine-tuned." Life may exist in this universe, and that's kind of an "accomplishment," but these laws you seem to have such high reverence for basically doom all life to extinction after enough time has passed. It's kind of ludicrous to think that this universe's physics were created on purpose.
We are fine tuned to the environment we live in. Proteins are created by the genes in responses to signals from the environment. If there is no protein for a particular signal it is made genetically. Go here for a presentation:

Hello, I want to explain why I am not believing:
What is the boiling point of water ? If it is pure water under 1 atm atmosphere pressure, it is 100 degrees Celsius. You can repeat it 1000 times and you will find out that it is always the same result. But as soon as you change the atmospheric pressure, e.g. by doing the heating on mount Everest, you will find out it is boiling earlier, you can again repeat it and get the same results. By adding salt, you will find out that it is now boiling later. But under same conditions you will again get the same results. That's why it is possible to make measuring devices like a thermometer. Imagine you try to measure a temperature and you get different results under the same conditions; the measuring device would be useless.
So under same conditions you get the same results F(x), under different conditions or initial variables or parameters (x) you get different results.
Now to the problem, religions are promising two different results, heaven (F1) or hell (F2). What are the parameters for going to heaven (or hell), being good, having faith, being patient, being helpfull, being adequate intelligent (to have faith or not to have faith), live long enough to go to hell (babies go to heaven) etc.
So, if there are two results, the initial (given) parameters (or the resultant of them) cannot be the same. So if the initial parameters for heaven or hell are differntly distributed to people, can we speak about a fair god ? Do you believe in an unfair god ? I don't.
Anthony Flew is considered one of the most prominent atheists, so he retracted his atheism and told us that the universe has a deity with modern scientific evidence, not with thought or dreams and feeling, but after science and modern discoveries about the existence of a Creator. All of these are called verses and there are things that complement each other, there is a lung and there is air and there are teeth and stomach and in food and other things and we say that it has no creator!!!

Richard Dawkins is asked this question all the time in his videos and interviews, and he often replies by quoting someone I don't remember the name of, but basically what that person said was: how do we know there isn't a normal sized teapot orbiting our sun? a teapot that size, no one would be able to detect with current technology, so no one can disprove it exists. But that of course doesn't mean that it makes sense to believe that there is a teapot out there, though.

This is not impossible, but although the idea seems to be a natural outgrowth of several (if not many...and it probably IS many, but I'm a simple microbiologist with a passing interest but no expertise in astrophysics or maths beyond a couple of growth/decay curves...) models, it seems bootless to speculate about regions that it seems we can never observe given that these putative "alternate 3D universes" formed by a peculiar phase transition of portions of uberverse at potentially differing "times" and maybe resulting in regions with different physical laws are hidden just as the centre of a black-hole is hidden, by an event horizon. It is actually a very convincing proposition that our universe IS a black hole...although the consensus appears to be not really, and the increasing expansion rate is actually a very serious puzzle at the current time.
Certainly we may come to refine models and we could assert that these other regions do in fact exist, this cannot, it appears, be experimentally measured in any meaningful way...and so it's just bootless speculation!
The observable universe will certainly keep us occupied for a while at any rate! XD

Dr. Dawkins suggests that it is possible that in the universe that there could be sentient beings that would be so advanced to us that we would consider them gods. If these sentient beings are so advanced, is it possible that they would have discovered how the universe began? Further is it possible that such a sentient being could reproduce the creation of the universe? if such a sentient being could reproduce the creation of the universe, would any living beings created in that universe consider the creator of the universe to be a "god"?

I have a theory about God. Let's say there was no God and universe was created out of nothing and in that universe life flourished somewhere, an intelligent life and those creatures got so very intelligent that they could create their own universe and they created our universe and now we call them God. I have something similar but here read mines.
I imagine there was civilization before that unlocked all the secrets to their place in space and time. They found out, they were alone. To them life was void, with no meaning. They realized that the most beautiful thing about living is the wonder of not knowing....so they created an infinite complex puzzle (multiverse) and shipped seeds of life into it.
They created their purpose, by giving purpose to something (us and perhaps other aliens in other universes).
I still need to polish it but this is the main idea.
