The issue I have with the rods is that the reel seat through the end of the blank is noticably so much thicker than the business end of the rod. I don't know the reason for this. Seems like two separate blanks.

so i have a shakespeare conquest crappie rod, (spincast) and i want a frog. the reel says 4/60 or 60/4 i dont remember. would a 2" frog and 50lb braid fit on the reel? and do i need backing, if so, what to use. also, i have a couple swimbaits, thats it. im also VERY new to bass fishing so advice is appreciated
