Dude I just got to say your the reason I started fishing. My pops try’s to take me sometimes but he just can’t go no more. So suddenly I tried learning from TH-cam and found your channel. I took notes and the next time I went fishing I started catching the biggest fish I ever seen. I try to go fishing but I never can because nobody will take me so maybe I’ll go someday. But maybe I’ll see you one day but until that day keep on the good work. Love you man:)

My father recently sent me a Shimano bait caster from the 80s. He's 77 now and doesn't fish anymore. After I rebuilt it, it casts AMAZINGLY well on the 7' medium fast action Abu rod I put it on. I use Zebco closed reels myself, I have an Omega and I've caught literally HUNDREDS of fish on a Zebco 33. That would be a cool challenge video...lol. They are just the work-horse of trouble-free fishing and if SOMEHOW, the whole kit goes in the river, I'm only out $30...lol. "Road to 19K"...at the time of this comment, 66.3k in just over a years time since this was published. Great job Ryan! I hope to see similar growth in my own channel...it's not fishing but there's been some traction lately and with Gods will and my faith it will persist.

Hello my friend I understand that you mean I just love fishing for fun on the weekend's and I remember telling my self that I wouldn't my anymore bait caster rod and reel combo 🎣 that I was happy with my spinning rod and reel combo and my bait caster combo and I have 5 now I also love buying inexpensive fishing baits and gear fishing is beautiful and special to me I have lots of memories with my father pier fishing 🎣 I enjoy pier fishing ever since I was a kid I enjoy seeing your fishing videos 👍🏼

Yes. However there is a point where you start buying more of a luxury item rather than necessity. When the price of a reel goes above 300, that’s what I consider a luxury.
