Found my way here through Grady Smith and really glad I did! I come from a little country town in Victoria, Australia with a population of just over 500 people and there isn't a lot of access to country music and no exposure at all to anything that isn't considered mainstream. Just watching this video I have found 3 artists I didn't know of and are now on my playlist so Thank You! Looking forward to making my way through all of your other videos.
Fire & Brimstone is incredible. I love the unique sounding harmony with Brantley, Jamey Johnson, and Alison Krauss. It’s been one of my go to songs this year!
Yes! So glad someone else thinks Bathroom Floor is as good as I do. I love it for all the same reasons you mentioned. I think we all need a song that tells us, “get up, girl” at least a few times in our lives. I feel like it’s an anthem for one’s early 20s.
Writing all these down, tbh country is a huge oversight in my music listening repertoire and I’m trying correct that. Also “not into Sam hunt” and the name is “the backroad” hmm...
You lost me at Gilbert, drew me back in with Ingram, then again with Hayes Carll, lol, glad you are stretching out to "real" country music. If you want classic, try Ags Connelly, it's amazing how much he sounds like a singer from the 60s/70s, but is from England. He's won all kinds of songwriter awards, but still is not heard around the US. Good list, outside of Gilbert. Lol
Still glad I subscribed! We have at least one song and like 5 artists in common on our year-end lists.
I clicked on this because of you, so it better be good. I mean no Luke Bryan or FGL. Has to be Sturgill Space jams
the backroad it’s Christmas so I’ll sub
Grady, she's doing a great job! Thanks for giving your subs a heads up about her. Already a sub and a fan! You two are awesome!

haha IDK about the rest of his album, but wouldn't you say "Fire & Brimstone" is a pretty decent song? :P
