Chargeblade is not rly hard to play
But once you learn it, it's probably the most versatile in the game.
It's not really complicated
i played mh world and i use charge blade as my first weapon, instantly my fav weapon haha
@@izyizu7697 same, I was initially drawn to the switch axe cuz axes are my favorite weapon. But once I saw the charge blade's axe form i thought it looked waaay better than switch axe.
Now we just need Gura and Ina to collab on this, while trying to get Calli, Kiara or Ame to join in.

I think Gura played Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

2. She's not familiar with Charge Blade, so it's pre 4U

Capture Card Boss appears, things look bleak, Ina shows up for the surprise combo attack, the initial defeat, then the plot-twist boss revive Pre-chat this stream was a Saga in itself.
And we were there for it lol, over 7 hours ago

I was there and man was pre chat an epic. We had dio Brando and everyone was sending their energies to gura to help her defeat the capture card boss. Ina came in for the save for the first phase of the fight.

Fun Fact: Charge Blade is one of the most difficult weapons to learn in Monster Hunter. She chose to use it first.

loooong shark streams are really such a treat but it breaks my heart whenever gura talks about having issues with sleeping or being tired because she pushes herself so much for us and I feel like there's nothing much chumbuds can help with
As some who has a few thousand hours into the monster hunter series all I can tell you is fashion hunter is the best way to play, also good job with the charge blade, not an easy weapon to start with.
I know right? I first started using the charge blade in World and I have to say it was an intimidating weapon to use with all those mechanics and combos and charging.
I’ve gotten the hang of it and used it to kill some elder dragons with it then finished the game (pre-iceborne). Only till Iceborne came around that I found out that I can charge the blade and use this strange mechanic called “Guard point”.
Since then it’s become my go-to weapon in most hunts despite it being overwhelming and intimidating at first.
@@luisiana1121 I started with the greatsword in World. It felt too slow and clunky. I left the game for a while and came back later. Now I use a longsword and I’m super happy with it. It’s faster than the greatsword and has good reach and a fun moveset.

Dude Gura, I know I've said this before, but more than ever, I am SO EXCITED that you're having fun with this game. I know it was rough before the stream and early on (Monster Hunter is honestly always awful at the beginning) but watching you have fun fighting monsters and squealing at all the cute things really really made my day. I know all the controls and all the weapon combos and whatnot are incredibly complicated to learn, but once you get used to everything you get to be SO COOL. And I believe in your ability to learn whatever weapon you wanna play, sharky; take some time to try them out on your own, maybe ask Ina-sensei for some tips, and I know you'll be a hunting MASTER before long!
I really hope you keep hunting and having fun with it Gura! It'll be really cool to see you and Ina play together, maybe with some of your senpai too. The dream, though, would be a chance for the Shrimps to hunt with you someday; I know it might be unlikely, but I've heard Luna-senpai has done it before, and it would actually be the highlight of all the (way too many) hours I've spent playing Monster Hunter. I can dream, and you can't stop me!

Really interesting to see relatively new players tackle the game. It's clear even now that the onboarding still doesn't do that great of a job of getting people to immediately know how to implement stuff like the wirefall

You'd think with a complicated game like Monster Hunter, watching a beginner like Gura would make me cringe, but it actually reminds me of when I started with my own first Monster Hunter game which was Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii. I was using the Great Sword and not even using the super powerful charge attack at all, I was just swinging it all around trying to make combos. Even played online that way and nobody ever stopped to tell me: "You know, maybe you should try a different weapon if you wanna play that way..."
Good times. I'm happy with my skill level now, of course, but I still had fun back then and it's all that matters.
(Although I do apologize to everyone I might have played with back then and felt too awkward to say anything)

Chargeblade is harder to master, but u can do it! Its gonna be rewarding and its hella strong!
Would suggest a online video for good results, you know about sword mode charging axe mode and discharging some explosion, but it can go further. Charge the shield also, to create an even stronger axe, more dmg and allow you to use the ultimate move, condensed discharge, which will empty all the jars over using just one jar w each blast.
As you strike w sword mode and charge it, you will get a "hot" sword, which will bounce and deal less damage regardless of sharpness. This means it has too much power and needs to go to the axe.
Try to stay nearer the monster, dodge to the side or try to roll under a monster if you are very close. The monster is usually open right after a move and can be safely hit for a short while. ( some monster will combo, need to understand the moves).
Thanks for the long and fun stream, Gura! The character you made was great and nice job hunting on your first stream of Monster Hunter. There were some funny moments somewhere in there.

I can't even remember falling asleep or the baggi hunt but that was a great first run with a CB, 0 research and only getting tips from chat well done. I'm glad you're sticking with the Charge Blade, most people give it up i feel after they overcharge it the first time and bounce with every sword swing. Keep it up though you'll be a master in no time, there is a combo list in the hunter notes, it won't tell you everything about CBs but it will be a huge help starting out and adding to your combat options. Can't wait for the next MH stream.

Hell yes! I love Gura and Monster Hunter has been my favorite franchise since PSP. Been loving Rise. Over 100 hrs in.
Monster Hunter is one of my favorite series of all time. It does take a bit of time to "get into it" though, but it's well worth the time investment. Charge Blade is also one of the most complex weapons, just so you know Gura.

Sidenote: It's incredibly interesting to watch someone play who didn't like spend countless hours playing the demos and who has little experience with the series as well as the console she's playing on xD

Gura has so much confidence. Where does it come from? I wish I was confident enough to just casually pick up a weapon as complicated as Charge Blade, using a controller with a button layout that I don't understand, and stream it for thousands of hardcore MH fans and backseat gamers.
