    Best way to doing PhD in India is first you do a job like teacher or assistance professor by clearing NET and then doing your PhD by your own expenses and thank you sir for your guidance jay shree krishna ❤️

      I have seen and worked with many such people. Unfortunately, this is the situation and clearing csir-net does not mean that you have good research aptitude.

    Hii sir,
    Your vedios are really helpful for every student.
    I have a question as I have completed my Masters in biotechnology from PU, India So I am looking for PhD positions abroad As I have just completed my masters in August and results are not yet out and I have not joined any lab also. I am just preparing for csir net and gate exams .. Can i get selected as PhD student without any extra job or lab experience?

    • @durdamscatalogue
      @durdamscatalogue  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure, you can get a PhD position right after your master without any extra experience. What would matter most is how much research work have you done during your MSc. You need to start working to prepare a Scientifically relevant Motivation Letter and Cover Letter.
      There are several students who have landed a PhD position in Abroad just after their MSc. They all had one thing in common. They did extensive research work and internships during their Master's.
      And I am glad that you found my videos informative. Thanks.

      Moreover, it's the phD interview that tests on ones research abilities. These fellowship exams test ones subject knowledge but it's the holistic thing that should be considered. While it's good to posses subject knowledge it's important to possess the aptitude for research. Sharing my experience, I have recently made it through the written exam and interview at BITS Hyderabad campus. My interview had panel faculty members testing me more on problem solving than theory

      There are limitations of doing PhD in India and also depends on your subject and equipment/facility availability. But in US or Europe, the financial stability is much better.

      Well if you are in your 1st year, then sure you can think of starting fresh and applying for positions abroad. But if you are in 3rd or 4th year then I would not recommend to start fresh. In that case I suggest to finish your PhD and try for postdoctoral in abroad.

      Brother I am not saying that there is nothing in India. In the field of research you need exposure to grow. It is recommended to go abroad and gain experience. Coming back to India is very subjective. Many come back for their family, as it is very difficult to get the whole family settled abroad. Some come back because they feel integrated in the society much more in India than in abroad. Being in the field of research and to be one of the best in it, means that you will basically live in many places throughout your life. Imagine if no one comes back to India after their PhD, what will happen to the research community in India. It won't grow. Therefore, it is a benefit to both sides. You ask any scientist in any elite institute in India, almost all of them will recommend you to go abroad for some years to gain exposure and experience. I hope this clarifies your comment.
