When I saw Tool being mentioned.. I was looking forward to hearing the impact the band had on them.. my first Tool concert was in 2002.. Meshuggah opened.. first Meshuggah song I fell in love with was Rational Gaze ..
I saw them on that tour, arena-style. Nothing made me happier (good pun) than hearing the entire place cheering after Future Breed Machine’s big, post-solo pummeling part. Mesh won a lot of fans on that tour, and Tool gave them that big beach ball right over home plate to crush. Good times.

I think it was an inside joke, because he was INSANELY hard hitting back in those days, and everyone was afraid to let him lend or even try out a cymbal.

I liked Clockworks & Born in Dissonance, but I barely listened to album at all. It was boring overall, which was a first time for me concerning Meshuggah. The 3 new songs are fresh and fascinating especially I Am That Thirst which is just mental. Fuck my foot!!!
