  • Approximately 100 hours went into this restoration. Including completed tear down of topside and underside of playfield. Deep cleaned and then touched up and automotive clear coated then rebuild all assemblies and re-installed back onto both sides of playfield. All metal buffed to a mirror shine. New playfield plastic set, new clear silicone rubber. Retofitted with WPC type flipper assemblies mated to Atari flipper bats for acurate but strength appropriate flipper feel for this title. Warm white LEDs installed for the general illumination circuit. Rebuild all circuit boards and touched up cabinet and head paint.
    We have one more of these that will come out exactly the same including the touched up and autoclearcoated playfield. Truly looks like New Old Stock and looks and plays like day one it hit the acrade way back in 1978!

    Nice!! I grew up with one of these in my dad's basement and loved playing it. Played it countless hours and loved it.
    Sold it at some point in the earlier 2000s for like 300 dollars. I always hoped it went to someone who enjoyed it as much as I did!
    Those sounds sure do bring back memories.

      It's an iconic game for sure! THE best Atari pinball machine they made. =)

    How easy are Atari pins to maintain when compared to other companies' pins? I heard that Atari ones were not very well engineered and were prone to breakdowns.

      Yeah I really sweated the details on this one. It went to a big fan of the game that played it at Fun and Games in Framingham back in the late 70's. His family bought it off of the owner but left it during a move years ago much to his dismay. He saw mine on that Chronicle episode I did a at the end of 2019 and said he wnated me to make him a super sweet nice one. This is the result. =)

      I have another one that will come out just like this waiting in the wings for it's next owner. Could it be you? =)

    I have an airborne avenger in amazing condition but it does not work, I’m unsure if I can fix it but it was $200 so I think it’s worth a shot

    • @pinballdoctor
      @pinballdoctor  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      $200 is a good deal for one in that nice of condition. Jon's Jukes in Vancouver can fix your boards if needed.
