Interesting to see how you guys out in the States work considering that you didn't nearly as much TDI stuff as we did across the pond. Makes me a little happy that there's someone out there in the US who cares enough to make their own GTD, subbed.
Jesus this thing is going to boogie! A lot easier doing the injectors on these CR's compared to my TDI Lancer haha! Currently looking for a MK6 GTD DSG to replace my Passat daily lol
Right now we’re on version 2 with the new injectors, down low it’s pretty Smokey, up top it’s good! We’re just dialing in still, took it to the drags on this tune and it was pretty impressive, dyno video will be in a few weeks and drags will be sometime in the next 7 days! Lots of editing to do on top of work! Gonna need some more subs before this can be a full time thing 😉
Hey man,I have a 2011 golf tdi currently on tunezilla stage 2,I’m ready to purchase a turbo upgrade can you point me in the direction of what I need to make 230-240whp? I was thinking maybe the Malone 2056 kit or the 2260? 1756 seems to be only making 200whp according to tunezilla. I’m just trying to make it a 13 second car safely without stressing anything too much. I noticed you went 12.7 on what I thought I saw you say was 250whp in your drag video. So what combo of mods do you think it would take to run like 13.5’s give or take, but definitely 13’s is what I’m looking for! Thanks man! Awesome content btw!
Not really, the stock limitation on these engines is definitely the turbo, followed by the injectors/ intake system/ valve ports. They can’t handle too much power with a stock engine (as I found out the hard way) but you will max out the rods before you make out the flow rate of the engine stock.
VW does consistently maintain you won't get very far if you put the equivalent of 300hp through a FWD car. It's been their thinking for some time. My experience with motor mounts and subframe bolts speaks to this effect. If you were a rally car owner I'd sure be turning up the power, but streetwise, I think the best way to go is a low, loud, feel good car.
Once the engine build is done I definitely shall, I covered quite a bit in my dyno video, but I might do a full review of the car one suspension is all in!
Can you throw me a link to the injectors you used ? I got a 3 inch straight pipe, s&b intake kit, malone dsg, and malone stage 2! Im thinking bigger turbo, bigger intercooler piping, S3 modified intercooler, injectors, and a cp3 conversion will get me to the power I want.
How do you think the dmf will gunna handle with this setup? 80k on my dmf with factory power can only get worse with more power imo. I still need to find a good replacement for mine. Vw shows the luk dmf but some have said you can cross reference to a Sachs which some say holds up better.
Honestly, we will see, I think it’s already had an upgraded clutch back and it’s not has an easy life, no weird noises or anything yet or odd behaviour but I’ll post about it if it ever does!
@@ThatGuyTyy I just posted a question about our dmf replacement alternatives in the 2 tdi fb groups I’m in so awaiting a reply. I’ll report back with any news.
Stock internals tap out at 2260 after a bit of abuse - not sure about the actual block itself - rods are first thing really needed, if you had the money I would do pistons and machining
It lowers injector duty cycle a lot so that your stock injectors aren’t maxed out once you go big turbo, the throttle response is a lot better and there is a decent increase in torque according to the butt dyno, I would do a big turbo before injectors tho for sure as they aren’t needed till you are almost maxing out the stock block
That is a big relief. Anyway, great gains from simple mods. Injector swapping on CR is really a walk in the park compared to a PD. There you need a dyno and a PhD to tune it right.
Im just glad we finally have good tdi content for once
Appreciate the love, lots more to come!
You can say that again. It's great to watch someone actually build for power/speed for once too.
More speed coming soon!

Good thing I am in Canada ;)
@@ThatGuyTyy My bad lol North America then
Just teasin, appreciate the love bro!
Ye it's pretty rare to find tdi enthusiasts in the states but when you do they what what they have and what they are doing
crazy job crazy mk6, very good job, please don't stop, give us more about this mk6 project !!!
j'attend avec impatiente la fin de ton projet

Definitely a fairly easy install! Can’t go wrong with a common rail daily
@@ThatGuyTyy How's the smoke output on your setup? It's my biggest fear for my new setup being a PD. When's the next tune/ dyno 😂?

I'm assuming these injectors are the kit from Darkside Developments? I've never been able to find an injector replacement upgrade for the mk6 tdi
solid video, good work
Thanks boss ❤️
Super sick TDI. I have an mk6 with GTD turbo, maybe 170whp? Is there anything that can be done without adding a bigger turbo to add power?

@@Chemist9662 Loud isn't my thing. I live in snow country so doesn't make sense to lower it half the year, it's on great coil overs though.
Could you put together a mod list on this if you get time once everything is finalized?

I wish u guys had pd 130/150 in the US to experience how powerful, reliable and cheap they are
I think they do? The mk4 golfs.
Yes we did get the PD !
@@ThatGuyTyy but only weaker versions of it. I think ASZ and ARL never made it to US

I have 370whp in my 3.0TDI. I think you can beat me from 0 to 60 because of the weight. I have a boat audi a6 weighs 2000kg.
No way he called those zap straps
Where you get your upgrade injector i find nothing on website for 2.0tdi cjaa

What are the limitations of the stock block? At what point are rods recommended?
Stock internals tap out at 2260 after a bit of abuse - not sure about the actual block itself - rods are first thing really needed, if you had the money I would do pistons and machining
@@ThatGuyTyy what pistons would you recommend?
Where did you get your intake, or is it custom fab’d?
Custom fab’d!
How are the injectors going ? I have a GTD and I want to upgrade it
Definitely worth the investment, way better power at full range
@@ThatGuyTyy the injectores are plug and play? Same size?
Not plug and play - direct fit but needs to be tuned - oversized by about 100%
Injectors Ref ? @@ThatGuyTyy
What are the part number of injectors?@@ThatGuyTyy
Do you have the link for the injectors??
I will see if I Can find a link, they are custom balanced injectors that I was given with the vehicle - not exactly sure which exact ones they are!
@@ThatGuyTyy ok thx
Direct injection?
Yes sirrrrr
Little known fact, the D in TDI stands for Direct, not Diesel ;)
Can you give us bosch numer of new injectors ?
They are modified stock injectors, not an OEM VW part, must be disassembled and modified or purchased directly from performance company
How can I get the turbo flutter like yours
Massive turbo and tuning haha
How much did you pay for the injectors?
I didn’t actually have to pay for these ones but they run around 1000$ for a set
@@ThatGuyTyy what were the torque and horsepower gains? Do you think they are worth getting?

What kind of intake is that?
It’s custom! Designed to pick up air from the fog light bezel
Hows the gears box . Flywheel clutch going hold up
It’s a DSG! It’s been rebuilt and has a brand new mech! So we’ll see, probably gonna put an LSD in soon
You are not supposed to drive the car before the injectors are calibrated
Injectors are calibrated in this video at the end, coded and tune loaded for the injectors
