This is really a good unit. I tried it out from Amazon. Purchased the "Renewed" unit. Came with all the original equipment. Worked and sounded great. Lots of bass and pretty clear and plenty of volume for our bedroom. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased a 2nd unit.
I picked one of these up today at Walmart. It came in a green box rather than an orange box, but it is still this 2.0 model. It doesn't come with an optical audio cord anymore, but it still has the port for it. I already had a TOS Link optical audio cord from another sound bar that no long works like it should which is why I decided to get this one. Mine sounds pretty good. It wasn't too hard to set up. I thought I'd watch this video to see if I was missing any tricks that I didn't pick up from reading the manual. Yes, the optical audio cord does give fantastic sound! It really is the way to go. It's a good value. Actually sounds better than my old sound bar from Amazon did back when it worked.
I bought this speaker, but setting it up was much more complicated for me. Took hours! First I tried the straightforward method that you covered in this video but no luck. Dish is my cable provider and I have a Dish voice remote. I called Dish. Lengthy call. No sound from soundbar using optical cable. Tried everything. Called Vizio. Two very lengthy calls. They decided the soundbar was defective, gave up and were going to send me a new one. One last-ditch call back to Dish. Still no luck with optical cable in any combination, but using RCA cable connected from back of soundbar into back of Joey and resetting Dish voice remote, finally got sound from soundbar! Big improvement over TV speakers! This TV is a Samsung 36" in a cabinet in the master bedroom, and TV sound was being lost in the cabinet, so was only looking to boost sound, not get true surround sound. This soundbar works great for what I needed. However, I cannot get sound from the soundbar when watching Hulu: can only get sound from TV using TV remote . Can you help???

It took me all of two minutes , maybe, to hook up. It was too easy with the digital/audio connector that came on this 10 year old Panasonic. Sounds so much better for my mom who is hard of hearing and the tv speakers just weren't cutting it. Helps me enjoy it as well. I may even get one for myself.
I actually bought this sound bar and I was rather impressed by the sound there was another option to buy it with a subwoofer for $130 but I figured that is a little too expensive for a Walmart soundbar I usually would prefer a JBL sound bar but the reason I chose this was because of its compact size and $68 is not bad I was skeptical about it sounding good but it has good treble and decent bass for its size
I'm now seeing the Amazon soundbar I never knew they made one,I don't research soundbars so I'm just finding out of these newer models,I'm upgrading from a 2014 model

I bought it two years ago and love it it is a great value. But…. Every once in a while I hit a button without knowing it and the sound goes off …. So then I go crazy pressing all possible buttons - especially the SOURCE button - to bring it back to my hard line inputs sound. Eventually with enough searching around I get the TV audio back but I never learn what particular button brings it back.

Excellent explanation, the problem is I don’t have a Vizio Tv, I have a Sony Bravia, and I can not make it work. I have the same sound bar connected to my Samsung and was an easy set up but somehow I can’t figure it out on a Sony TV.
Picked one of these up mine is the newer version took a few to hook it up had to run to best buy thought I' needed another usb but No they helped buy mentioning the cec is off works like a charm I will be upgrading my optical sound to 4 K Gold
I'm just looking to find out if there's a way to see my Equalizer options rather than hope I didn't push the button to many times. Gf set it up but the music in movies and TV shows cause us to have to turn it up and down and up and down all the time. Highly annoying. It has great sound quality tho. I'd recommend 12/10.
We did not experience any static or buzzing. Static or buzzing often is sign of electrical interference coming from another device or electrical wire. Try to move speaker away from all other devices.
I’m experiencing the same thing which is a shame since the sound bar is super great but with some audio like music it buzzes super loud. Were you able to find a solution to this??
@@faithekanem If u have a WiFi box near it when Bluetooth is on, its going to sound bad. Either move it or use the cables that came with it. Wish I could of found this comment earlier lol.

I didn't think my TV had the digital out. I hooked it up through the white and red. Found out I do have the digital audio but now it will only work through red and white.
I have a 10 year old 40" Sanyo LCD TV with 2 internal speakers and one of them blew out and the other one still kinda works. I bought one of these Vizio 2.0 soundbars for $30 on black Friday but my TVs speakers don't have a off thing in the menu. The only way too turn off the tv speakers is to mute them or to rip them out.

Had the same problem. The optical cord was not pushed in all the way. If you plug it into the tv, you should see a red light on the other end of the optical cord.
There's no wall mounting this girthy sucka. Except gor maybe using some L brackets from a hardware store and getting creative with it. Just duct tape it to the wall 😉 You're welcome
What is that headphone jack adapter called? I don't seem to have it with my sound bar, and my TV doesn't have a port for the toss link cable so I had to use the red/white cable as you suggested. All I need is the adapter, but I don't know what it's called, and typing in any name I could think of on Amazon or wherever else gave me everything except that adapter that I need.

Works pretty well. Only problem I'm having is that it's set to night mode by default so if I don't remember to turn it off, all my booms are muted

My Soundbar sometimes goes out so they are not good Soundbar because it constantly goes out with my Onn 2k android device.

Look for connection ports on the back of soundbar and you tv that look identical and try that, perfectly square or round might be easiest

I had the same problem unplugged Power cord plugged it back in and it worked

Your not using Bluetooth when you use the video cable. The Bluetooth is for you tablet or cell phone.
