I just did the exact same thing to my 2016 X5 - backed up into my garbage dumpster and busted my tail light. Hopefully the 2016 X5 is just as easy to replace. Thanks for the video!
Damn it! I did it again, backed out into the trash can again. This time I broke the inner tail light on the tailgate...Big Sigh! Stay tuned for a video of me replacing it.
