Bob built this amazing DIY rig to explore off the grid with his family. A normal Class A just wouldn't cut it for Bob. He utilized his engineering skills to put together one of the most unique rigs I have ever seen. Instead of going with a normal box in the back, he implemented slides with some pretty clever bedding options. Thanks for watching!

When it comes time to get off the grid, a 6x6 is a perfect rig! Anyone else dream of living in something like this?

Great job!! I love it and very well thought out. I was going to ask why you swung the refrigerator doors that way but then noticed they would have pinched on the wall if they went the other way. Good thinking on conserving space.

As much as I love camping I'm just like this gentleman, I want to go where no one else is and not just be on top of other campers. Also with that 6x6 he'll be able to roll right over anything he comes across. Beautiful overall build with incredible craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing this with us all. 🙏🏻

What a tuff rugged rig! My first thought was this is a beast. It’s one of top kind of rig! I knew that he must have an engineering. Love all the beds hold up and hide out-of-the-way. Ingenious Army truck with all the necessities for off road trips 👍

I know he's trying to retire and relax, but he should build these as a side business. Far better workmanship than most commercially-produced RVs.

A Harsco/BMY M939A2 truck, built in Marysville Ohio from 1987 to 1994. I probably touched some part of that truck back then. Glad to see one resurrected and given a new life.

I drove from Cape Town South Africa to London England across the entire continent of Africa when I was 25 in a rig I did myself. 30 years later I live in America and want to build a rig exactly like this! Great job, very very well done! Exactly what I want to do.
I need to know more about the slideouts. Very few DIY RVs have them, and I've heard a lot of people say they don't hold up off road.
Just the tires on this thing makes me feel tingling in my pantaloonal region.

This is a perfect rig for my family. For any family really.
The bunk beds are genius! What a great design. And the Hula Girl! Must get one. I have some pink flamingoes as well. An incredible technical challenge to build one of these. Definitely not for an amateur. You did a fantastic job. This is a pro build.
Also not for the average person to store and drive. This is a huge rig. Limits city touring.

Love these trucks. The military uses them in a large variety of configurations. The ones I served with had mobile doctor's office and another was for X-Ray and yet another for surgery. If you've ever had to use one, you can envision a ton of uses for one.
Man! I'd love to be parked already and see that rig crawling into the camping area. It's like watching a Rambo movie for the retired.
oh man, That outdoor grill is amazing. I think too many of these tiny homes are missing out on this feature.

THIS… by far… is my dream build! 6x6… “not quite bulletproof” (which means, yeah, it’s gonna be bulletproof), military grade everything, 6.8L Cummings Turbo Diesel, 3500W inverter, twin Honda generators, 7500kW solar… hell yeah!!!!

Wow just wow! I read a bunch and "liked" a bunch of the comments. I just agree with everyone's sentiments about how impressive this build is.
Couple questions I wished were answered are: what is the weight of the rig, what's the mpg, and how's it drive.
All I can say is these videos and enthusiasts that create these builds and go on theses adventures are inspirations!

Nice truck! I believe you can switch the hinges on the frig to make the doors swing on the other side. It would make access easier to the cook....
I constantly look at the Stewart & Stevenson trucks to build something similar.
