- Tim's vehicle is extremely inspiring to me for many reasons. When I left "house living" to travel nomadically and live off grid 4 years ago, I have always missed my garage. Tim has a better garage than I've ever even come close to! What is your favorite part of this rig? The movie theatre or the garage?!

There is no way you can actually watch that TV in there lol. I have a 65" in my bedroom (20 ft x 16) and it's almost too big. 75" from 4 feet away is a joke

I have always wondered how those water heaters heat the water immediately like that without heating large tank of water. It heats immediately as it flows through it. That is impressive ingenuity

I’m on my first rig similar to your first rig but mine is a trailer and I’m looking into doing something like this for my next project. Combine everything in one unit instead of my trailer being the home and the vehicle being the garage. The tough part is finding a decent platform without breaking the bank. I don’t think there is to many ways around not braking the bank really. You need a 4x4 or better and from what I’m finding you need at least 20 or more feet to fit everything properly and not get stuck easy. 12 feet is just not cutting it for being a full time rig that does everything.
I saw that thing out at KOH on Sunday and though that was a sweet rig, hate to fill it up in Cali for $5.40/gal diesel price back in Barstow though... Looks like it wasn't as windy and dusty as it was Sunday feb. 5th... Hope you have fun out there !

It seems like a lot of weight aft of the rear wheels with that massive tool chest, welder, drill press, all the other tools, and everything else in the garage area. I would love a shop area on my overlander, but that is a massive vehicle to be dragging around. I like the idea of having a TIG welder though, a mini drill press, and an angle grinder, I can fab lots of things/repair most if not all with those limited amount of tools. This guy and myself have a lot in common, my overlander will have 5k-6k watts of solar for a few reasons, I like the PNW which can be very cloudy for weeks so extra panels are needed to produce enough power. I want my habitat to be 100% electric including an electric incinerating toilet(no black tank), tankless electric hot water heaters for both domestic hot water and radiant in-floor hydronic heating, and mini split air con unit, all are power intensive and require an extra large inverter(s) and a large battery bank.
