    My hair used to be healthy. Unfortunatelly, throughout my life I've experimented more than I should have. Also, my dermatologist just revealed that I have Alopecia. I find myself shaving my hair every 3 months. Merely because if I don't I will have patches all over my scalp. Honestly, I regret mistreating my hair. I'm getting older and I have suffered from making bad decisions to my hair. Great video.

      Hello there! I'm so sorry to hear about your hair struggles. Did you dermatologist reveal what type of alopecia you have? There are so many different types of alopecia. Knowing this would also help to determine treatment. If you haven't completely given up on your hair, please join the waitlist for my Health & Hairness program launching this Spring. We will take hair growth to a new level!!!! The link was at the end of the video.

    Thank you. I definitely forget to drink water sometimes, but let me tell you a storie here that you may find it interesting.
    Before Covid, I used to go to school, and, I remember all I used to drink before going was a banana smoothie, then, I used to stay 7 hours on school and I used to drink absolutely NOTHING. Then, when I used to get home, I just fill myself up with water, chicken and sweet potato, then I used to go to sleep. Also is important to remind that I used to get a lot of sun in my hair coming back from school. But here's the fun part, my hair was the most THICK hair on a 16-17 year old boy ever. Nobody had a hair STRONG like I used to, and, I used to get a lot of compliments on it. And, it stayed like that until 2021, when I noticed that, after I showered one time, I could see my scalp, and, my hair was so THICK, I couldn't see my scalp then, but, after this shower I took in 2021, i could definitely see my scalp, and that SCARED ME LIKE NOTHING ELSE IN MY LIFE. How could I, a man with possibly the strongest hair in my town, be passing throught this? Then, I did some thinking and some research, and I discovered that people who been with COVID can have hair loss and hair thinning. This was back in 2021, and I am here, still to this day, fighting against this DNA changing that this stupid virus brought in. There is no doubt COVID is the one to blame for people's hair loss, and, in my personal opinion, we gotta FIGHT against it. Drinking water, eating right, doing everything in our power to WIN this battle.

      Hey There! Awesome awesome story! Yes -- covid is certainly the culprit to alot of hair loss. I've had so many client who experienced post covid. And you are so right! Type 4 hair ladies talk so much About moisture and applying a good leave in etc but they neglect the importance of drinking enough water ! Moisturising from the inside out. Maybe that’s why topical products don’t work alone . And also when taking supplement drinking ample water is crucial . This video is spot on ! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 especially for those who experience shedding and breakage and can’t seem to find a way to stop it .

      Hey Jamie! This is a wig my Justmanes -- but they are no longer open. 😔. I have been wearing a headband wig in some of my newer videos by Hergiven Hair. Many people have asked about it. Here's the link. If you use code 'curlhouse' you can a small discount. www.hergivenhair.com/curly-headband-wig-p-467/.
      And here's a video of me wearing the wig. This video was all about healthy hair underneath a wig th-cam.com/video/em5NKzAEdH0/w-d-xo.html

    My hair has become a little thin and it is obviously because of less water intake. Can my hair become thick again after 3L of water intake everyday ? Please reply

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rudra! If dehydration is the reason for thinning hair, then increasing your water intake should take care of the thinning. But if there are other underlying issues affecting your hair shaft, then those need to be addressed as well.

    Awesome video! How much shedding is healthy? I drink plenty of water but my hair sheds daily.. but not in alarming amounts. Is it natural for hair to shed even if drinking plenty of water?

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Renita! Yes! It is totally normal for your hair to shed daily! On average, hair can shed anywhere from 50 to 150 strands per day! Here's another video I made that will explain it further --> th-cam.com/video/Z2QZ02Hw-ZY/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Karen, I am going to ask this for the FTM transgender folks out here. I am noticing hair thinning and a little bit of a receding hair line due to the fact that I take testosterone. Do you think upping my water intake and using these products will help the trans community as well? Thank you for any response you can provide! Amazing demonstration above by the way.

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Gio! Thank you so much! I get so excited to teach! So glad you appreciated my example!
      So in terms of the hair loss you are dealing with, there are a few things I recommend. With the introduction of more testosterone to your body, it sounds like the hair loss is similar to the action of androgenetic alopecia. Are you familiar with low level light therapy? It’s been around for years and used to treatment androgenetic hair loss. Check out this video I created on it -- > th-cam.com/video/wBnILA54rIg/w-d-xo.html
      Secondly, it is ALWAYS BEST to take a holistic approach to address hair loss - so healthy habits or lifestyle practices -stress management, healthy diet, exercise, adequate sleep, etc. You can never go wrong with this. Healthy lifestyle supports healthy hair growth. And in terms of my products - ABSOLUTELY! They are packed full of botanicals designed to work synergistically to address scalp and growth challenges. Now let me give you this disclaimer, topical products SUPPORT hair growth. The body systems provide the proper foundation for hair growth internally, and the product line supports this externally. Also, absolutely increase your consumption of water if you are not doing so already. 2 - 3 liters is recommended.
      So again, check out a laser (the video), healthy lifestyle, and scalp care products is your winning combination! Hope this helps!!!

Thank you so so much!
