How have you delt with the atts and being boosted? do you have a video on that? i have a 98' SH and dont wanna boost it til i can figure how to deal with the atts system nightmares i hear about. thanks for any feedback you can give and great videos Brother!
If you have hondata for tuning the swap goes easy. Just making the plate to mount the intermediate shaft is the biggest thing. The light on the dash for acts will be on but it doesn't matter. Take the bulb out if it bothers you. I kept everything so one day years from now if I wanted to return it to stock I can.
Have you upgraded the sloppy stock shifter? I own a 2001 prelude base model jus recently installed the hybrid racing rsx short shifter,cables and h series bracket it’s a night and day difference 👍👍 keep up the good work
I replaced all of the rubber bushings for solid aluminum mounts on the shift mount. And replaced the shifter cable bushings on the transmission. I will go to a racing shifter once or if hopefully I get a built transmission and need a strain gauge
@@wbracing1027 Your Prelude shifts good. I have 140K miles on my '01 Type SH and it doesn't shift all that clean. No grinding but I have to wait for everything to mesh and shifts are slow. Revving to 4k rpm things seems to mesh better. Otherwise, its always a little delay going to the next gear. I changed the transmission oil but that didn't do much. When the clutch need to be replaced I also got a new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. No shifting improvement. Have you had any problems like this?
I should also add that when the engine is shut off it doesn't always want to shift into a gear readily. It might not want to go into first for example, but it might go into second or third which moves stuff around and then it will go into first. Same thing when I'm sitting idling in neutral. I push the clutch in to put it 1st gear and it doesn't want to go into gear. No grinding at all. Something is just not lined up. I will have to let the clutch pedal back out and then push it in again which moves something and it goes into first gear. Or I can sometimes shift into second gear and then it will go into first gear. I would say this happens about 50% of time. Thanks for any insight.
@@thriftyninja0075 I added a thicker weight gear oil only like 25% of the total amount it helped some. In really high rpm range it can feel sluggish or grind every once in a while. Like 7-8000 rpm. It need new synchros in the transmission but I would like to save my money for a new built synchro tranny and it should shift much better....even if I woukd change the synchros everything else is still old and it might not fix the issue.
@@bradappel9928 Thanks for the reply. I’ve read synchromesh can give slight improvement. I would also like to rebuild my tranny at some point. I’m sure I have synchro wear. If rebuilt, the shift forks inside the tranny should be replaced. They are notoriously weak and easily bent from a missed shift or even trying to force it in gear when you have a bad clutch. I may try different oil. I changed it and it didn’t make much difference. Used Honda brand.
I would love a carbon fiber hood how does it fit up? Any idea on the weight savings thats exactly what I'm working on now and should be one of my next videos

Green flash means something to do with the immobilizer I believe

Yo I have a 5th gen too, doing a fully forged engine swap, just painted my new carbon fibre hood myself

It fits up really close to oem which I’m happy about, I’m pretty sure the stock prelude hood is like 70 lbs, the carbon fibre one is only 18lbs
