    I eliminated the abs, entertainment system, and the power steering out out of my 5th gen. I can't part with the AC. Just can't do it. It works awesome. A rare thing in the Honda world lol

    Carbon fiber hood, trunk and doors. Remove door mirrors and sunroof. That would reduce a lot of weight.

    I hear you on the weight loss. I have a 5th gen eg sedan and I converted the car from power to manual rack and pinion. That took off 28lbs. Removing the not working ac system was another 30. Just that made the car feel way different.

    i miss my 95 accord was basically a lude, i saved 800lbs by losing the car in an accident and going with an eg because i found it. the eg is fun all motor i was planning on boost but going with a 95mm stroke crank and higher compression on my sleeved h22a1 because i live at elevation and i need anything to make power.

    • @wbracing1027
      @wbracing1027  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have two 95mm cranks I would like to use one in my spare h22a1

      @@wbracing1027 i am planning on it put a new head on my h22a yesterday and cylinder 2 is starting to score so I am hoping to build it over the next 3 months.

    Another spot is the sun roof. Id like to run a carbon fiber lid instead

    On the front end there’s a vibrational damper behind the front bumper. I took mine out. I would guess it weighed about 7 lbs.

    Also man do you have a traction bar installed on the car? The original front subframe/crossmember it replace is quite heavy. Although, I don't know how much the traction bars weigh, they seem like much less material.

    • @BrpdogProductions
      @BrpdogProductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The traction bars actually weigh more I believe. They are less material but they are thick steel meant to be rigid

    • @jaleeskhan6606
      @jaleeskhan6606 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrpdogProductions Ah ok, right that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up. I haven't experienced the difference from installing one myself but I'd imagine the benefit outweighs the extra weight?

    • @BrpdogProductions
      @BrpdogProductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jaleeskhan6606 I sure hope so! I joined the 850 fab group buy for one so ill make a post in one of the Facebook groups once that arrives. Clearance is a huge benefit for headers or downpipes. Also the caster is easily adjustable without having to shim the bushings in the stock subframe thing

      I think I weight it once its a type sh so it has radius rods there's a 25lb saving to be had with innovative mount front sub bar.

  • @Nubsanders
    @Nubsanders 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    That’s a good number it keeps it heavy enough to be a luxury coupe 😂

    Carbon fiber hood, trunk, and fiberglass fenders will save a good amount of weight but not cheap.

    • @wbracing1027
      @wbracing1027  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would love to do the hood and trunk I most likely atleast the hood

    • @dinoflagella4185
      @dinoflagella4185 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the trunk is surprisingly heavy. If you do get a carbon fiber trunk lid. You’ll have to remove one of the tensions rods. If not your trunk will fly open with a thud when you pull the release.

      @@wbracing1027 have you looked into looping your p/s lines? With all the weight removed im sure it's alot easier to turn the wheel also. No?

  • @waldofrick

    cant you just run without the rear bumper support entirely?

    • @wbracing1027
      @wbracing1027  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's what the bumper attaches too theres these little metal slots the bumper holds on to. So not without securing it somehow.
