On February 13, 1258, the Mongols entered the city of the caliphs, starting a full week of pillage and destruction. Along with all other libraries in Baghdad, the House of Wisdom was destroyed by Hulagu's army during the Siege of Baghdad. The books from Baghdad's libraries were thrown into the Tigris River in such quantities that the river was said to have run black with the ink from their pages. According to the writings of an eyewitness to the Siege, "So many books were thrown into the Tigris River that they formed a bridge that would support a man on horseback." Nasir al-Din al-Tusi rescued about 400,000 manuscripts, which he took to Maragheh before the siege. Many of the books were also torn apart by pillagers so that the leather covers could be made into sandals.

I've personally read the book of Molana Moudoodi you are referring to and can confirm that his words were taken out of context and were given own meanings which are totally opposite to what Molana Moudoodi said or meant to be. If someone wants to read it, it's تعلیمات، the Education, by Molana Moudoodi. Same mistake mr.bookbuddy did with Maryam Jameelah and gave his own meanings totally opposite and out of context what she actually meant to be.
This shows me shallow level of understanding he has about the topic. I'll also warn the audience to not believe everything you watch or listen, but rarher confirm by yourselves by either reading by yourself or by listening the opposition.

God created Science. God is not bound by Science but Science is bound by God. Science just gives us a way to arrive at the best possible understanding we can have based upon the already present knowledge using evidences. What people fail to understand is that nothing is absolute in science. What the whole scientific world does is ponder upon the mechanism behind the order and structure of things that we see around us.
Science is not the truth, but fairly close to the truth based upon our already narrowed findings till now. By this, I do not at all mean to say that we should not think. In fact, the Qur'an encourages us to think about the universe. But we must understand what we think is not necessarily the Truth but rather a possible trial at understanding the universe in a better manner.
Science actually has nothing to do with Islam or any religion for that matter. Their purpose is entirely different. Religion gives us the channel to connect with god whereas science just gives us a possible understanding of the universe which can either be true or even false. There has been no theory or law in the entire history of scientific studies which hasn't been countered by a different understanding of a different scientist based upon the same evidences. what different scientists infer from the evidences in front of them itself varies which implies that there is nothing like 'absolute truth' in science.
A new theory which provides a better inference from the evidence can easily replace the old theories. and this must continue in the human race since this helps us to keep improving ourselves by thinking critically and helping the world. I would highly recommend everyone to watch/read about the philosophy of science before arriving at any conclusions. I am a student who is pursuing masters in biological sciences from one of the top 5 universities of the India.

@@Modic.deutsch God created Science. God is not bound by Science but Science is bound by God. Science just gives us a way to arrive at the best possible understanding we can have based upon the already present knowledge using evidences. What people fail to understand is that nothing is absolute in science. What the whole scientific world does is ponder upon the mechanism behind the order and structure of things that we see around us. Science is not the truth, but fairly close to the truth based upon our already narrowed findings till now. By this, I do not at all mean to say that we should not think. In fact, the Qur'an encourages us to think about the universe. But we must understand what we think is not necessarily the Truth but rather a possible trial at understanding the universe in a better manner. Science actually has nothing to do with Islam or any religion for that matter. Their purpose is entirely different. Religion gives us the channel to connect with god whereas science just gives us a possible understanding of the universe which can either be true or even false. There has been no theory or law in the entire history of scientific studies which hasn't been countered by a different understanding of a different scientist based upon the same evidences. what different scientists infer from the evidences in front of them itself varies which implies that there is nothing like 'absolute truth' in science. a new theory which provides a better inference from the evidence can easily replace the old theories. and this must continue in the human race since this helps us to keep improving ourselves by thinking critically and helping the world. I would highly recommend everyone to watch/read about the philosophy of science before arriving at any conclusions. I am a student who is pursuing masters in biological sciences from one of the top 5 universities of the India. Thank you for reading! Jazak Allah.
