Chanakya was one of the greatest multidimensional legend --- a realpolitik, a philosopher, an advisor, a mentor, an administrator, an economist and so on. He spent a lot of his time in Taxila, capital of Gandhara civilization and a centre of knowledge & learning. Sadly, Taxila has never witnessed such glory and what is worth mentioning are the ruins of of its past grandeur.

@@Omegacrafton we are bothered because with the same game plan (different culture food attires personal laws etc etc in short two nations theory) they broke our country in 1947 and got 33% of land for 25% of people (whole muslim population of undivided India) and suffered minimal consequences for it (only 72 lakh -55 lakh from east punjab and 17 lakh from rest of current day India migrated there leaving behind 3.5 crore of them here in 1947) again they have started playing the same game but this time consequences will be different

Although chankaya exist in many rock inscription or Hindu ,Jain and Buddhist manuscripts
But it is still a controversial claim that a person named Chanakya ever existed. Because the book named Arthashastra talks about the governance of a small kingdom or state and not a huge empire like Maurya. Secondly, there is a lot of controversy among scholars whether Chanakya, Vishnugupta and Kautilya are the same person or different. It may be true that there was a Brahmin minister who helped Chandragupta in establishing the Maurya Empire, but it is controversial whether he wrote Arthashastra.

There are lack of evidence to claim his real time existence, But Chanakya as a person existed in folk Lore and throughout History. Whether he was such a cunning man that's debatable but He existed for sure because his name lived during the time of Maurya empire, which is one of the most influential Indian dynasty and creating a shadow figure of as such Grandeur is impossible.As many people claim Sun Tzu( author of art of war) wasn't also a real person. But still They are all rumours.

There is no historical proof of existence of Chanakya,( brahmin) chandra gupt maurya was shudra, brahmins will never want to give credit to a shudra king, till 19th century nobody knew about this imaginary story, suddenly from no where this story was cultivated to undermine the greatness of a shudra king.
Dalit historian has outright reject this imaginary figure. Please take note this point of view as well.
