Japanese game developers, in my eyes, seem to be a lot more mindful about the development for the game and they really tend to focus on what the community likes.
Yeah, knowing the developer actually is so passionate about it ( not the case with 80% of the AAA-games *looking at call of duty and battlefield) makes it much easier to actually spend 60 bucks on it

Greatest game ever made. Never playing a “souls” game and just wanting a new game for the PS4. Being a huge lover of horror movies/books. This took me somewhere I have never experienced before. Masterpiece.
Remove the shitty camera glitches, make Laurence hit less hard, fix the hitbox of the dog in the defiled chalice, fix the input delay within the dodge button, then you got the best anime game that was mistaken as a game made in the west due to amazing English voice acting.
the dlc gives you a good idea of what Gehrman is up to. They could go in MORE detail but not enough there id say. These guys make some excellent stories, so lets just hope for something new (a sequel, or something else)

I love the idea of on your toes combat! I like it when they say "If you just sit back you will be overwhelmed." I see some of the comparisons to dark souls, but this is it's own game. In dark souls you are discouraged to attack, and you most sit back an wait for an opening. In this game you are encouraged to attack, and that makes it more exciting to play for me. Love it! Can't wait!

This game was my introduction to Soulsborne games and has remained my favorite game of all time ever since. I just don't find the same level of enjoyment in playing any other kind of game, though currently enjoying Demon's Souls on PS5 where it all started :)

I've never seen a major developer using Apple hardware. Essentially all of it is underpowered and overpriced compared to what you can get when buying your own hardware so it's simply impractical for game development.

I'm really looking forward to experiencing this game. I played Dark Souls for about 12 hours on the PC and really liked it but I'd already seen most of it through videos on TH-cam. I think playing this without knowing anything will be a lot of fun.
I'm really glad Demon's Souls is the main inspiration and representation for this title, instead of just Dark Souls. Demon's Souls is what got me into this series, and I've been with it ever since. It's a nostalgic game, and I would love to have another game like its atmosphere and uniqueness. Looks like Bloodborne is going back to the roots of this franchise. Even to the point of PlayStation exclusivity. It has Demon's Souls atmosphere and inspiration, and Dark Souls level design. A perfect combination, I must say. It was quite the opposite with Dark Souls II, where Demon's Souls was the level design inspiration, and the atmosphere was that of Dark Souls. But, that was a different director and development team in From Software, so, I blame them. :P
The Sanctuary being burned down gets me excited. I hope theres some penalty if you take to long to kill a boss like if theres some boss thats like "he spreads the curse" or something then he actually will the longer you take to get to him, then he'll add more enemies or something

I think it has more to do with the style they chose for the game, demons souls, is quite a gory game for instance, while dark souls is more about decay, and aged beings and places. Now, all of their games are very close to their kings field series, but essentially, dark souls is more like kings field in art direction, while demons souls is more like their shadow tower series in art direction. That is likely the reason.
I still think it's a little weird. I know Demon's Souls was successful by itself, but I've always considered Dark Souls to be slightly bigger than Demon's Souls. I mean, it did get a proper sequel and all. But maybe they're trying to separate the two, with Scholar of the First Sin coming out this year, too.
Rain I think part of it has to do with Miyazaki partnering with Sony like when Demons Souls was developed. I suspect when Dark Souls II was being developed by the new project leader, Miyazaki took a separate part of Fromsoftwares' team in conjunction with Sony to develop what he described as a "secret project" back in the day that has now been revealed as Bloodborne. Who knows though? Could be a lot of reasons. Or maybe we're just looking into it too much.

Subtitle on IGN's video are very hard to follow. I watch a lot of foreign movies and reading subtitle is not a problem for me. Problem is how IGN shows the subtitle. They shows the old subtitle as long as the new subtitle comes. Usually there is a little bit of pause in showing subtitle in movies, which is how your eyes gets notified when a new subtitle appears. With IGN's approach however you have to keep on looking at the subtitle so you can see the little changes in text to understand that subtitle has changed. I would strongly recommend to hide the subtitles for few moments before showing another one. This will make it much easier to follow.
I want bloodborne 2. Yarnham or another gothic world. I trust whatever he makes next. But the atmosphere is awesome in bloodborne, as good as demon/dark souls was, bloodnorne world is richer. Dark souls i guess was deeper though

Unlike The Order: 1886, the preview videos for Bloodborne show a great deal of gameplay, as opposed to just one cutscene after another overlaid with developer commentary singing praises about how good it looks. Hell, The Order's developer even came out and said that if gameplay sacrifices needed to be made in order to keep the game looking pristine, then they would make them. I knew months ago that game would flop. The commercials showed critics talking about how gorgeous the visuals were, but not one talked about the game being fun or exciting, so I wasn't surprised at all when the low review scores started pouring in. I guarantee you that From Software and Japan Studio have sacrificed none of the gameplay elements to make Bloodborne look better. This WILL be the definitive PS4 exclusive for 2015, and I cannot wait to buy it.

How about dual-wielding guns?
Subtitle on IGN's video are very hard to follow. I watch a lot of foreign movies and reading subtitle is not a problem for me. Problem is how IGN shows the subtitle. They shows the old subtitle as long as the new subtitle comes. Usually there is a little bit of pause in showing subtitle in movies, which is how your eyes gets notified when a new subtitle appears. With IGN's approach however you have to keep on looking at the subtitle so you can see the little changes in text to understand that subtitle has changed.
I would strongly recommend to hide the subtitles for few moments before showing another one. This will make it much easier to follow.
When the devs talk more about the console they're making the game on rather then the game itself.
The hype is so real
I want bloodborne 2. Yarnham or another gothic world. I trust whatever he makes next. But the atmosphere is awesome in bloodborne, as good as demon/dark souls was, bloodnorne world is richer. Dark souls i guess was deeper though

I think it's funny that they just completely avoid talking about dark souls at all. "Oh dark souls? It's only the most popular game we ever made that hundreds of thousands if not millions of people play, but that game's not important! Demon's Souls! Demon's Souls!" Lol
well mostly because it's demon souls that really started it all.
Unlike The Order: 1886, the preview videos for Bloodborne show a great deal of gameplay, as opposed to just one cutscene after another overlaid with developer commentary singing praises about how good it looks. Hell, The Order's developer even came out and said that if gameplay sacrifices needed to be made in order to keep the game looking pristine, then they would make them. I knew months ago that game would flop. The commercials showed critics talking about how gorgeous the visuals were, but not one talked about the game being fun or exciting, so I wasn't surprised at all when the low review scores started pouring in.
I guarantee you that From Software and Japan Studio have sacrificed none of the gameplay elements to make Bloodborne look better. This WILL be the definitive PS4 exclusive for 2015, and I cannot wait to buy it.
