    I love this Phone and I'm kind of annoyed that the Pixels these days are getting bigger. The 4a and 5 have the perfect size. The Pixel 5 is a pleasantly normal phone. I'll miss it when it dies one day.

      How long does your battery last? If you're using your phone around 8AM, what time does your pixel stop working would you say? I think my battery is dying because I have to charge around 5pm.

    • @CockroachMunchingKrabbyPatty
      @CockroachMunchingKrabbyPatty ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@ks-bg5uk I'm a light-mid level user, and if I get up at 8AM with 100% battery, I can easily make it to bedtime around 10PM with 40% charge left. I purchased the phone secondhand from ebay in October. I find this thing sips battery like nothing, and I'm constantly amazed at how much battery I have. I find myself less often just charging at bedtime, and more often just taking occasional power sips throughout the week at my desk, for like 20-30 minutes if I have the time.

    I get 2 days out of my phone easy, sometimes 3. It takes amazing pictures, always better than I expect when I load them on my 4k screen on my computer at home. The rear fingerprint is always a joy to use to unlock the phone.
    Also the size is perfect. Big enough to have a good view, small enough to one hand it and use it as a proper tool. You don't know how many times I've just whipped it out of my pocket to grab a quick photo of a bird, or some other event that happened so fast.

    I bought the Pixel 5 upon release. I have smedium hands at best and I really enjoyed the feel of the phone when texting and using the phone. The 90hz screen was butter, battery power wasn't too bad.
    I gave up on it not long after I bought it because the earpiece speaker was pissing me off and the phone consistently ran hot under any moderate tasks. In comparison, I have an iPhone SE 2020 and sure it runs hot, from time to time ONLY. The chipset is just better and obviously iOS is an app driven experience.

My favourite was the 4 design the most but the 5 design with the matte back slim finish is taking the top spot for me. Thanks for this review and you will definitely get your bang for your buck. I see people selling the iPhone 8 for $200+ re sell and pixel 4 and 5 for. $175-$225. Pixel hands down .

    It's nice to have a phone that you can use with one hand like the Pixel 5. I tried the Galaxy s20 FE and it's too big and awkward and hard to lock - for whatever reason. So I went back to the s10e which has a 5.9 inch screen and is very convenient. The pixel 5 sounds like it would be a very handy phone with a small 6 inch screen. In addition the back is not made of glass, which is great because glass backs to phones is the biggest most idiotic mistake that's been made with cell phones ever.

    • @PhilAndOr
      @PhilAndOr 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeh I don't get it - glass back adds unneccessary weight and it can shatter - for what?
      We use glass on the front of phones for an obvious reason - why the heck do I need to see through the back of my phone?
      It's not like Samsung or Apple are showing you the battery or the charging coils through that back glass... in fact it would be good if they did, at least there's something interesting to look at in that case.

    GSMArena reviewed Pixel 5 in 2020 and stated that the phone's SD 765G perfomance is de-tuned / handicapped that it levels SD 720 performance. So, I was wondering in 2022/23 whether the performance remains the same or is there's any software updates that fix the said issue. TQ

    it's not surprising, I think everyone is somewhat catching on that the yearly release of every brand's flagship or mid-range phone isn't really a big deal anymore. It's more or less going to be the same as last year's phone with some design change and slapping their logo on it. Funny enough I opened up the Pixel 2XL the other day and I was surprised how well it still held up for a really old phone. For better or for worse the post P5 era of Google is more or less abandoning the identity of their pixel phones that fans enjoy to go chase the dream of being the Android equivalent of Apple except with none of the QCs of Apple products.
    I rock the P5a now and someday I have to upgrade to a new Pixel but I don't really need a much bigger phone like the Samsungs/Apple phones, I want the rear/side FP scanner, I want the more durable design (no glass backing), and of course the efficient operations of having a Google phone + Google's Android OS advantage, I don't want the battery issues and other random issues that comes with Google needing to screw up a release to fix it.

    Hello, Matt. I currently have pixel 3 as my secondary phone. I really want to upgrade to pixel 5. My pixel 3 is working just fine except the battery. Is pixel 5 speaker better than pixel 3 in terms of the bass? I don't really care about the loudness, tbh. TIA if you have time to answer this.

      I think that that pixel 5 has a better speaker with enough bass. cz for example me i havee pixel 4a and it has a good speaker with enough stereo in terms of bass and treble

    the last Compact (not last picel :) ) For me the p6 (after android 13 is the best pixel) . But yes the size is difficult to get use . The 6.1 6a maybe its the best current option according to the size.
    Anyway thats what majority of buyers like and thats what companies follow. (see iphone mini series etc) iphone 7 got i tad smaller by the way which is welcome but not perfect.

    Rocking the pixel 5, but the battery is failing. Going to trade in for a Pixel 8, since rumor is that the pixel 8 will be smaller than that monstrosity of a phone that is Pixel 7. Though the Nothing phone 2 is looking pretty tempting

I want to step.away from cheap android phones, and I recently learned google owns android and the pixel is still android software. Do you recommend this for small business owners? Also I want to learn how to utilize google better for my business and improving my life over all. Any thoughts or insights? Thank you. I appreciate the video!

    I never tried Pixel. If I did the 5 does seem like the last true Pixel. I think now they’re just going too mainstream and being just another phone like everyone else. Nothing about the 7 REALLY stands out from the iPhones or Samsungs. Except for the Pixel exclusives that have already been on their phones for years now.

    You missed the most important feature of Pixel 5 that's superior to any newer Android devices: **Unlimited** High Quality Google Photos Backup!!!

    • @RealWorldReview
      @RealWorldReview  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe that's why I didn't mention it? People say overheat but do you know what happens when this phone overheats? It powers off. That NEVER happens when people say "my phone's overheating!". Signal is not an issue, but Verizon customers may say otherwise. I also am not testing it at your house, so it doesn't matter (unless it fails in places other phones normally work, or the speeds of usage are slower)
