  • This video shows you what I believe is one of the best extractor sets made. Sold by Snap-On under their Blue-point name. Model NO. 1020. This is a multi sized set designed to remove damaged fasteners. I've tried many different types and brands of extractors over the years, Craftsman, Irwin and harbor freight to name a few. This set has worked best for me. It also carries Snap-On's lifetime warranty. Break it...Take it to your local snappy dealer, he'll hook you up with a new one. This is a tool set I can 100% recommend. Please subscribe and check out my channel for other tool related videos.

Use these when I was in the trade over forty years ago. Worked then with no problems and see no reason that they won't work now.

Are the drill bits labeled bluepoint or rigid???

Why did you pick these over the tapered or short hex extractors?

I've had quite a few of those break on me.... For me they tend to allow for too much torque when extracting and quite a few times I've had them break off at the tip. This usually adds quite a bit of time to the extraction as now I have to dig out a chunk of hardened steel. The blue point set gives a fair bit of warning before they snap. Lots of flexibility. Do you like the tapered ones yourself? Thank you for commenting and watching.

@@MTRFAB are you saying the short hex ones snap too?
I don’t like the tapered one and had some break.
Looking at the set you reviewed but I just watch a video where the guy snapped one of these too.
Really don’t know what to buy.
I like the idea of this kit and tells you what drill bit to use.
Do you know if the Ridig set is same quality? Almost half the price. No way snap non made these

@@pgreenx I get it. I have had great luck with the blue-point set myself. Any time I've snapped one... I was mis-using it and did not drill all the way through like instructed. I've fished a ton of broken stuff out of 250r engine cases over the years. This set works best for me. Good luck with your purchase. Before this set I tried just about everything you could buy at your local hardware store. All of them are broken and have long since been sent to scrap. This is now the only set of extractors in my shop.

@@pgreenx Should be the same thing. The drills in my set are Ridgid branded. At the time I bought my set I was working at a place the snappy man would regularly visit. I can still get to him pretty easily for warranty replacement. Good luck with your new set. Thanks again for commenting and watching.
