I just stick with basic phrases and basic words. Stick with phrases and with me, I have to say them over and over and over and only learn a new one every other day. I have a vocabulary of about 500 words and verbs and adjectives. As they speak "cave man" English you too can speak cave man Thai when starting out like a 2 year old child. I don't worry about sentence structure at this phase. As we understand them, they will understand us. You will know it's starting to kick in when you start to dream in Thai. Have fun in the dream when the person is speaking your native language and you reply in Thai.

I really like how you teach thai. But it would help a lot if you repeated the phrases slowly and word by word. At this speed it is impossible to memorize new vocabulary.

For me, there is still confusion about how to end a question in Thai. In English, when you ask directly, "Do you have a fever?" I would ask in Thai 'Khun mi khai mai'. However, if you state a fact combining it with a question mark, such as "You have a fever, haven't you?" I would ask in Thai, 'Khun mi khai, rueblaho or ror or chai mai'. I'm not sure, 'mai, rueblaho, ror or chai mai' are used identically.

I can’t quiet understand your post but questions fall into a few categories.
      1. Replacement for ‘?’ Would be ‘mai’
Are you hungry? Or huue khow Mai.--literal translation of-hungry rice no.
      2. Conformation.
Today is Monday isn’t it? Or ‘yes/no’
Wun nee wun jaan chai mai.-----literal translation of----today Monday yes/no
      3. Can.
Can I turn on the fan?
Poom bird pak lom dai mai-literal translation of---me open fan can no.
      Hope this helps.

Trouble with these online phrase videos is that they’re over complicated.
Talks too fast and uses twice the words you need to get your message across.

If thai people don't know directions, to save face, they will just tell you the wrong way. Best to carry a business card of the hotel. You will never hear a Thai person say, "I don't know"..........at least most.

This is ridiculous. Have you guys really understood the profession, nay, the CALLING of teaching? You need to slow motion the information, break down the meanings, etc... e.g. call the police please...start by explaining the structure chui then chew in slow motion the rest.... Do you really believe a falang will ever be able use this in real life??? Shaking my head and the dust of my feet I can only give a thumbs down.
