@@tarcerjohn1558 I think he means because air punches and air kicks which I have never heard of are easy air bending techniques while tornados and the air ball are for more elite airbenders so water benders could only do things like the water whip or kataras (sorry for the bad spelling) self learned fish catcher thing

Benjamin Aldismo I mean they tried to make them balanced and they did pretty good but it’s pretty clear that fire is the weakest since it’s not very versatile and it has lack of defense. You also can’t trap, slow or wathever with fire
@@MichaKarssen Azula was able to use fire to deflect Team Avatars attacks tho. I specifically remember both Azula and Zuko using their firebending to create shields (Zuko used a fire shield to against Combustion man). I say they have a pretty good defense. As for trapping, the two dragons surrounded Aang and Zuko with a wall of fire, which is safe to assume firebenders can do too since they literally learned firebending from Dragons. Not to mention Azula IS one the most dangerous people in the series. Let's also not forget lightning and combustion bending, two VERY dangerous subskills unique to firebending. Combustion man was able to shoot massive explosions and P'Li was able to curve her beams.
Honestly, I think the one reason firebending doesn't look versatile/strong is because the visual representation is just pushing fire out of your body (it doesn't require outside sources besides the reliance on the sun) instead of people picturing the vasts amounts of bending material like earth, water, and air. That is why Fire is the element of Power, it has a constant source (firebenders being the source of the flames they generate). I admit even I usually just picture fire nation soldiers who only shoot blasts of fire out of their hands. I agree they probably have the least amounts of applications, but we've already seen people use it in multiple ways (whips, knives, vertical beyblades, propulsion, etc.).
I can see why people see Firebending as the weakest element, but it has it's fair share of versatility and destructive abilities.

1:17 that was the wrong clip. The ice drill happens shortly after that when the energy throws the other two behind and Unalock is on his own. He draws in 3 streams and forms a drill at the tip.
How the "motor boat"? Used by the swamp benders to make their canoes to speed up. (favorite move of waterbending)

People often forget that Korra is a master level water bender.
Of course, all avatars are master bender. It's just some ATLA fans are so fanatic that make them trash talking LoK and thinking that everything from LoK is inferior. No avatar would be allowed to learn other elements before they master the previous element. They have to learn and mastering elements based on avatar cycle. Aang was in fact, the only known avatar to not following that guidelines lol. But that's an exception, because he didn't have much time to completely mastering the elements like other avatars. But later on he completely mastering all the elements. While Korra, she had formal training from all bending masters, wasn't learning in hurry like Aang, what makes them think that Korra hasn't mastering all elements? Especially water, her native element, she got Katara as her master, and she's known as prodigy in bending and combat. She even started formal waterbending training since she was a toddler. Normally a master would've let an Avatar completed their bending training once he/she is better than the master themselves.

Every element has an special element
Earthbending + Metakbending
Water bending + Bloodbending
Firebending + Lightningbending
Air bending + take oxygen from someone (which is kinda different because this air is special and help us breath )
Water bending can remove a person's bending ability by blocking chi flow

I love avatar I’m binge watching it
The thing about water -and ice- bending is that it is functionally a green lantern ring. The user can create constructs of pretty much whatever they fee like. They’re only really limited by the amount of water they have to work with and their imagination. This makes it easily the most versatile bending style, period. But it’s balanced out by water being the hardest element to come by/create out of the four.

Damn katara and korra were really masters at their young age
That technique that Hama used to absorb water from thin air to create sharp ice and throw them to object kinda cool, much like razor/knives throw attack that May does. Very useful even where the is no apparent water.
But it's actually not really useful compare to bringing a water pouch lol. Hama didn't bring water pouch because she was in disguise.
Thank you so much for doing the waterbending! Although, there is one more technique that wasn't mentioned, and it was bloodbending.. Under a full moon, a skilled waterbender has the capability to control the water in another's body, surrending the victim to their will by controlling their blood.. I thought that was an intense skill in the shows

Water is easily the deadliest element. They never showed it, but it should be theoretically possible to combine Blood bending with ice formation, freezing a target from its core. The ice forms sharp shards inside the person's body, rupturing blood vessels and internal organs. This is technically a kids' show. This technique is too bloody.
As well as rip the blood out of an enemy
We all know Elsa is the most powerful ice bender. She accidentally froze an entire continent without any effort. She can even freeze a person's heart both literally and figuratively.
Everyone asking why I wanna be a waterbender... this is the reason so many techniques and you can think of even more
