Stop saying that RINGO is copying MARETU I stg they both have astounding music if anything RINGO is inspired by MARETU but there's a difference between copying and being inspired I can definitely see a difference in the songs that they both make

Never really understood why people say that RINGO copied MARETU, considering that I'm pretty sure there was one time (at least) that he/she stated that their music is inspired by MARETU. Whether it was stated in the description at some point or on the about page of his/her channel, I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure they did.
MARETU really inspired RINGO when she began making actual music, and they fall under the same genre as “digital rock” or something along the lines. Apparently the western fandom thinks that sharing the same genre as someone else is copying their music, even though they have distinct styles imo. RINGO has even adapted her own style at this point, so I hope it stops.
RINGO posted things on NND like “I respect MARETU. I will do my best to create original songs” due to the fact that people called them similar and that she’s a MARETU inspired producer.

Honestly I hope more people get inspired by maretu. When that happens it just means more songs of this nature and I'd be so happy to have more of this

I have started listening to RINGO's songs and I am in love with her so much. It's a shame though as soon as I discovered her it was around the time when she decides to leave the Vocaloid community. But I appreciate her songs just as much if not more :) (Also she isn't ripping Maretu off?? They just make similar styles of music sjhs)

Holy shit. This song is really intense, like. Even before the translation, it felt pretty fiery and emotional just from the instrumentals. if anyone is wondering, the "wo ai ni" at the end that gumi sings translates from mandarin to "i love you" i think, in mandarin the phrase literally means what it says, "wo"="i", "ai"="love", "ni"="you"

I have a question. By any chance could the more digital sounding voice be speaking Chinese? I’m guessing this since it sounds extremely different compared to the Japanese lyrics and don’t mention that they say “wo ai ni” in the end, meaning “I love you” in Chinese.

Yes, you’re right. The beginning, the part around 2:20, the end, and most digital voices in the song are in Chinese. I don’t know what the voices at the beginning say, but I’m pretty sure someone commented the Chinese and Japanese lyrics on RINGO’s original YT video.
Sugar Heart I think the digital voices in the beginning are really supposed to be choppy words if that makes sense?? I don’t know what it’s saying either, the only one I can hear and understand is wo ai ni, which is said before the singing begins
The “i love you” is there, but in the beginning someone gave a Chinese + Japanese lyrics in the original video’s comments and there was a Chinese part in the beginning. I remember looking it up in a Chinese dictionary and it sounded similar, but who knows lol

RINGO is AMAZING
The chinese part really hit hard when my now ex-QPP wasn't letting me talk to friends and wouldn't respect my boundary of wanting to be left alone due to burn out from him. He did so much to me, and I still pitied him, I listened to the part and despite my anguish and loneliness, how much I missed the people I loved, I thought about how I was hurting him. That it was my fault.
I was bleeding out, my organs spilling down. Yet I tried to suck up the pain and hate myself for feeling this way when he was feeling worse. I was one of the only two people in his life at the time, and I wanted to love him for his sake. I disregarded myself and my feelings because I was scared of him killing himself if I ever felt differently. But he threatened his own life so often, it began going numb, and the idea of losing him that way felt like an inevitability.
He hurt me so unbelievably much, slicing open my torso and I was the one who had to comfort him about it. I was bleeding, I was tired of being hurt, yet still convinced myself that I loved him. It was only when I talked to his now ex-girlfriend about it all that I realized he was a horrible person, treated her horribly. And I stopped looking at every time he hurt me as stand alone things and instead, a pattern.
This song brings back the memory of the love limbo I experienced. And I'm okay with that.

I know I said RINGO was a maretu rip off, but this sounds pretty good! My only problem is that I wish the vocals would be a little louder. The instrumentals is a bit overpowering. But this is okay 👌
shes not a rip off, and she never has been, she's just very inspired by MARETU, she actually quit after people saying that she was copying him and its a shame, she does have a new channel now that goes under the name octo, please don't be so one minded towards music producers even if the music sounds similar, some really good songs can come out of inspiration.

She was just inspired! She wasn't trying to imitate anything. Plus, she used Miku and Gumi in a way maretu never did. The instruments she uses are barely similar, maybe one or 2. Not trying to attack you, but please, people who said that stuff made her quite Vocaloid! She's back now, but if people keep saying this stuff she may quit for good.
