Bike's looking really good Big Chief. I really like the look of the drag bars too but higher bars are definitely more comfortable for me. Glad to hear the comfort seat is still comfortable, I was wondering about that. Yeah the left grip had a little grub screw to undo on my bike, easy to take off and on which is great. The official instructions erroneously tell you to twist the left grip off with a rubber strap wrench... big no no. Unless that refers to earlier model Chief's? I just had to undo the grub screw on mine. MotoGP, I'm a huge fan too!
@@bigchief113 Yeah check it out. The fact that the instructions say to twist the grip off makes me suspicious that it may apply to the earlier models. Let me know how it goes! The grub screw is underneath, facing the ground on mine.
Hey, I have the same setup (bars were standard on my bobber), and at only 5'8" they're still a bit of a reach for me even though I rolled them back a bit. I am now considering either the cruiser bars or taller apes. I have the smaller screen on my sport fairing and will probably go with the taller screen like you have.
How does the fairing and windscreen help with wind? Orders the same thing for my darkhorse when I bought it like 2 months ago. Expected ship date 7-20 😊
Nice! Appreciate the video!Thinking bout these bars on my sport chief for comfort also. Did you need to get extended clutch cable, brake line & electrical? Can the brake be bleed without needing to hook abs module to computer? Thanks!!
@JRIV24 yes and yes. Needed the extended cables but I had the drag bars. Did not need to hook abs to computer. Just bled the braks with a hand vacuum. Got that at harbor freight years ago. Good luck friend.
I was thinking the other day if you ended up getting the risers. I put the 6" sport chief risers. Looking at the sport chief fairing. How does it deflect compared the no fairing at all? Cheers
Thanks for the detailed look on the bar swap, nice looking chief!
No problem 👍
Oh yeah, I also changed out my stock seat for the Saddleman Renegade LS.

Thanks BIL! I need to take a closer look at the grips. The dealer told me the same but my bike was one of the first 2022s.

Great video. Looking at adding the 10" mini apes to my 2022 Chief.
Do it bro!
I had the same issues when I order the dang fairing. Thank you the video that is exactly what I want for my 22 Chief Dark Horse
Glad I could help!

Bike looks real good.
Thanks brotha!

Fairing was game changer. Without it, you're fighting the wind the entire time.
@@bigchief113 I like the Memphis Shade but the color match would be great
Clean! Question: why did you go with that air cleaner vs the forward facing model?
Just looks. That forward facing looks ugly to me. I prefer simple and timeless.
@@bigchief113 you have a point ! I might do that instead as well
My quarter fairing didn't come with the Indian logo decal. Did you order that separately?
The decal came with the parts.
Who did you get the fairing from?
Mission city Indian in Boerne Texas.
Theres a screw on the bottom of the grip
Nice I got almost the same set up
You da man.
@@bigchief113 nah we da man 😂
