its way too predictable and boring! like a 0815 pop song. compared to the first album this is pretty generic radio bullshit.. compared to texts about VERSAILLES and history and stuff.. and the production sucks really bad. you cant even hear the instruments anymore. the drums sound like a drumkit in fuity loops. overlayed with some generic sound samples.. i think this is creativly bancrupt! the definition of a sellout band pretty much. this is so damn compressed and equalized into oblivion. its just pop at this point and bad pop music also. this will fail as metal and as pop.
I agree, the first album was best. The other albums have some good songs, but feel more like pop metal. I don't mean that as an insult, I am just not into it

Rage of Light is still there. Martyna Hallas is different but also a great singer.

I like this song! It's new/diffrent and i think that's really cool. It sounds great and is fun to listen to.
I really like it when musicians make what THEY LIKE. Some narrow minded fans will always get pissed when bands try new stuff.
But it's usually the metalheads that are all open to combining genres/sounds and having fun making those songs. (Others are just boring and bland people)

its overproduced garbage where you cant even hear the instruments. this will fail as pop and metal. its bad in both worlds. its overproduced garbage from a really bad producer. way too compressed for example. the song sound bad even with a 4000€ sound system! its just not very good music. if you like it fine.. taste is different. but its still badly produced compared to previous material. that was one of the points of the band. that they had pretty clever arragements and glas clear production quality and clever songwriting. this is all gone now.. lol! this is generic as fuck. like written by an AI.. if you type in pop-rock song and click on the first link.
Metalheads want metal, not whatever pop trash this band is now. The "metalheads" you refer to are posers that mainly listen to Metallica and call themselves metalheads.
Absolutely! Don't make it a pattern, but variety is the spice of life and the unexpected is the whole point of metal. It's my least favorite of the 3 new releases, but I still like it. In the end, they're either true to themselves as artists or they lose their individuality and passion to pander to fans

It's not my favorite song, it's actually my least favorite out of the 3 from this album, but it still sounded good, it offered a different sound to attract new listeners that don't gate keep what they like so it could be a bridge for new metalheads, and it's they're music so should they make what they're passionate about, or suffocate that flame so they can pander to fans like you?

I get that the sound has changed, but they were always very poppy, so if people can't stand some pop in their metal I'm not sure how they could ever like them.

This whole year has been a bunch of things not on my bingo card. I absolutely love this, it reminds me of the early 2010s when electronicore was popular. Synths were everywhere and lyrics were heavy. I'm all for it.
I hope the rest of the new album is harder. This is okay, but Chapter III set certain expectations.

Ad Infinitum keeps surprising me with each new song and album. I've been following Melissa Bonny's career since Rage of Light and her collaborations with Kamelot and a few other bands over the years. I really kinda dug the plague mask schtick and more gothic aesthetic of the band from their first inception. It's wonderful to see and hear them branch out into different genres and styles and make them work seamlessly together. At first listen, this song comes off as more 'POP-rock' than the harder metal we've come to expect from Ad Infinitum. Then the band kicks in and holy crap do they hit hard! The video is a tad confusing at first. The choreography is cool, love the part with the shotgun right in the middle of the song. I REALLY love the soft acoustic guitar with just her lovely voice right to the end of the song. Great way to wrap up the video.

They are good BECAUSE of that. They teach people good music comes in shapes you don't necessarily expect. If they further evolve and polish this sound they could really break new boundaries and unite fans of different genres like Babymetal did. We want pop listeners to open their minds and hearts to metal. And we need edgy metalheads to learn that there is more to music than electric guitars. Metal music is amazing and raw. Pop is awesome, energetic and fun. I am glad both of these are being normalized, and everyone should too - it's all about the love for music and bringing people together.

I liked Outer Space and My Halo, but this song doesn't quite do it for me. It just has a bit too much "pop" in it for my taste. You can incorporate pop elements into a metal song, but, if you overdo it, it will sound more like a pop song than metal. That's what has happened here.
