Lewis Episode 1: "I want this to be a smoggy, super industrialized waste" Lewis Now: "Right, we need a large biodome with a greek style garden for my exotic orange collectors"
They should use the chalkboard as a tally board for how many times they each steal the intro. If the series goes on long enough, that board will be WIDE
I love Duncan, and I find the way he does things in unintuitive and unnecessarily convoluted ways very endearing. Like I bet if you had to work with him on a professional project he'd drive you up the wall with his wild design choices, but you'd begrudgingly put up with it cause he's such a nice and hard-working bloke.
I know you guys mostly likely see this but I have epilepsy witch as causes brain damage and memory loss. I remember watch the original jaefa as a kid and really like it and it’s nice seeing it again it’s kinda like a Comfort thing thanks
They hear him say, "screw it, I'm just gonna build it the right way" and they're like, "YES! YES, DUNCAN, GOOD LAD!.....Awww! 😮💨" [Adds 42 more gearboxes.]
Now that Duncan's finally admitting that he doesn't know what he's doing... I feel like I should mention that there's a better Create mechanism for back and forth motions rather than the extended piston. It's called a "gantry carriage", and it's basically a contraption that moves up and down a rotating shaft depending on the direction of rotation. That way you don't have to have a long piston pole sticking out of the side, and it's pretty simple to control with a gearshift to reverse the rotation. You'd still have to automate it and make sure the contraption doesn't stop on top of the farmland, but that just takes a bit of planning and some redstone contacts to detect when the contraption has reached each end.
Hi, someone from New Zealand here. We do have northern areas with a tropical-like climate but the 'jungles' you're referring to, we call the native bush and it grows quite far south into the south island. Where also in the south island it snows and has a few species of native penguins, which are very cute and tiny. Up north in the summer it occasionally gets above 30C, and in the winter in the south it is commonly below 0C. But it also snows in the centre of the north island in the winter, and has 30C days in the south in the summer. So it is a weird climate, I agree lol
very specifically our forests are Temperate Rainforests, with a tendency towards broadleaf forests. Another example of a Temperate Rainforest is the Pacific Northwest
Duncan, you never scrolled the 'End' on the sequenced gearshift. You also never chose on the side of the piston to 'never place contraption' or whatever to prevent it from breaking stuff.
Also he should set the piston to only turn the contraption back into blocks when it returns to starting position. That way even if power turns off it will never destroy the farm
That's a W edit at the end, good job on that outro choice. You had the option to cut back in after the outro like they do on the main channel for TTT sometimes but denying Duncan his outro and random wishes on his own channel is hilarious... When done in an innocuous way like this.
They're currently in the "These instructions can't stop me because I can't read" period of Yogscasting where they just sort of cancerously grow their shit; it will be quickly followed by the "Why did everything go wrong?" period, where they fucking winge about the fact that they didn't pay attention to anything, which will be followed by their "These instructions can't stop me because we are now using cheats" phase of their cancerous development-plan.
19:47 you don’t need tropical islands for pineapples. A standard house is fine. I grow multiple in my home at 21c/70f, theyre not heavy feeding and they dont need any more humidity than would be present in a climate controlled home.
21:35 It's a little wild (and I assume because he's building at night) seeing Duncan place down dirt and it not instantly turn to grass on this server.
for the farms: theres a plow block that is supposed to be used with the harvester block on contraptions, what it does is plow farmland but it will also scoop up items and push mobs in front of it, that way you never need vacuum hoppers or other jank to retrieve them.
replace the piston in the wheat farm with a gantry shaft and have the harvesters connected to the gantry on top. Its basically the same setup but the long pole stays stationary next to the farm vs extending behind the piston. That redstone will work the exact same way with it. That said what you really need is redstone contacts at ether end, they just send redstone current to a switch turning on and off a gearshift.
I think the way to reach Lewis about the Modular Routers would have been to compare them to the Turtles from back in the day in tekkit or even the Autonomous Activator from Thermal Expansion
Love seeing a factory being built and having the same issues of trying to make it nice and it just becomes a mess of machines. I can never make mine look nice either
Really been enjoying this series guys. I got into modded Minecraft because of your older series and this really does hit the spot. Assuming it's not copyrighted, I think the motto for this series should be "Ambitious but rubbish!" Can't wait for the next episode!
You should make a final episode incentive for when Simon gets on the show. The 1 million times Jaffa. Basically its a Jaffa recipe that requires 1 million ingredients of each type to make using ike a compression mod or something. Like that old super crafting mod. Maybe such a flavor would be too much for one dwarf to handle. Maybe even bring the end of the server xD.
in addition to setting the gear shift to time delay and repeat, you could also just put a redstone block on the harvester to set off the gearshift. also, it'd fit the theme to have one building be one of those steel framed arched glass roof buildings from the worlds fair back in the late 1800's dont know how you'd pull it off in minecraft, but lewis' greenhouse reminded me of it a bit.
I think the wrench can set any contraption to not turn into blocks when it stops. You even need to do that for the rotation block for most uses, the farms that never stop are the exception!
12:06 I do kinda hate diorite, but there is one use I find for it - ceilings. I find that polished diorite looks like those suspended ceiling tiles and it's the only place where I think it looks good.
I am someone who is also regularly asked "what are you doing? Why did you do it like this?" When working on a project due to the unintuitive ways i just naturally happen to do things so i really relate to Duncan on that
In replace of a Modular Router, you can use a backpack with a magnet upgrade - placed where the router is currently. You should then be able to just pipe directly from the backpack into storage!
Prediction: It’s going to be the last episode and Barry will finally do the intro and outro, and that’s only because halfway through the series it pivots into them becoming competitors and he manages to squash the other two in Jaffa sales, running them out of town.
Eagerly awaiting the one fan to make a youtube vid unblorping the wheat farm :D Also i think maybe the interface needs to be one block further away, maybe?
Brother I wish you nothing but the best yall were quite an enjoyable group to watch when I was younger. I would like to say however that your "prime time" audience has grown older as have yall no offense intended. See what's next in your future endeavors let go of the past. Hell you had to take a leap into the unknown to make it this far... maybe it's time to do it again and see what's next..I don't know if you'll even see this but I wish you all the best in everything you do
I got the closest thing I can find to Jaffa cakes right beside me just for this ( I live in the US so they are hard to find but it’s a soft white cookie shaped kind of like a tart filled with orange jelly and capped with dark chocolate and they are so good)
An alternative farm you can do instead of radial is using minecarts with a cart assembler, you can then have the cart go around in a loop or back and forth with harvesters on it.
Lewis Episode 1: "I want this to be a smoggy, super industrialized waste"
Lewis Now: "Right, we need a large biodome with a greek style garden for my exotic orange collectors"
I mean that is basically the vibe of a Victorian era British industrialist.
We went straight from Victorian industry to neoclassicism.
@@DeltaEntropy greek style gardens are very victorian
Character development.
Lewis slowly becoming Simon is something I am here for. I can't wait to see Lewis build a giant Santa.
I don't think it was a santa 😅😅
Love how he's completely aware of it too
@@jordanhancock6343 It was ALWAYS a Santa, never anything else. We don't talk about it!
WHY IS THE BELT BELOW HIS ASS

Intro leaderboard (Episode 15):
Lewis - 6
Duncan - 6
Barry - 0
So 3 episodes with no intro?
@JasonXLV1 yep -- 2, 3, and 5.
I mean Barry did steal an outro once
They should use the chalkboard as a tally board for how many times they each steal the intro. If the series goes on long enough, that board will be WIDE
We also need an outro leaderboard
Jaffa factory reception should have a glass floor over the crashed ship
Like that Lidl built on top of viking ruins lol
Great idea, I hope they see this.
I love this idea so so much
Duncan saying something's broken when he just didn't make/configure it correctly is just so classic Yogscast, my heart melts XD
Duncan famously never takes resposibility if he cant figure something out xD
When Duncan's car runs out of fuel he just goes off and buys a new one.
I love how you need pallets of Jaffas to make rockets. Seems like the perfect transition from Jaffa Factory 2 to Moonquest 2
We now need Jaffa bees in space.
@@GamerNix96 Even better: Bee Colony Ships!
It's not Moonquest without Simon and his patented Oil Scooping Ass.
Yes! We need a sequel to Site Bee!
Might need an out of order Hole Diggers 2 with an intermediary space station/recovery of the dwarf star
I wouldn't.
Remember the oxygen supply on the Dwarf Star in Hole Diggers? I LOVED watching that (not) come together too 🤣
I find it so hard to watch because it just makes me want to pause the video and then go do it myself and better.
I know you guys mostly likely see this but I have epilepsy witch as causes brain damage and memory loss. I remember watch the original jaefa as a kid and really like it and it’s nice seeing it again it’s kinda like a Comfort thing thanks

That's super unfortunate. I'm glad this series and the original can bring you some comfort despite that.

Many boffins have died trying yo watch Duncan build his off-META farms.
They hear him say, "screw it, I'm just gonna build it the right way" and they're like, "YES! YES, DUNCAN, GOOD LAD!.....Awww! 😮💨"

Duncan's toxic trait is he keeps trying to reinvent the wheel
Now that Duncan's finally admitting that he doesn't know what he's doing... I feel like I should mention that there's a better Create mechanism for back and forth motions rather than the extended piston.

Haha! The Iskall name drop, I was waiting for it 😂
If the Kudzu vine existed on this server, it would consume the world in a less than an hour.
Yup. They're very luck they don't have to worry about the flyx or anything.
29:40 - "DEAHHHH the Frenchsh champagne hasalwaysbeen celebrated for its excellence..."

The only crime of this series is not having Boba playing
Lewis talking about the Lost Gardens of Heligan is amazing! They are not far away from where I live! ☺️
