I absolutely love how birdcall is a do it you self fixer super. That's a good man to have right there. And I love how when you all have problems he right there to fix it. Those aren’t just highway or city miles on those shoes.. 350 PCT MILES 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I think a lot of hikers have unrealistic expectations for their shoes. But in all fairness the shoes should not blow out like that in only 350 miles in any type of conditions. The manufactures seem to put a lot of tread on the shoes, but cheap out on everything else.
That gorilla tape is great, Used it to tape my shoes to my legs in a 5k mudrun and...worked a treat.

A great hiking shoe is the Asics Trabuco Max, also accolades gaiters. The sole is thicker for great comfort and cushion. Just my 2 cents….Loving your content, keep crushing it!
I like how you fix the shoes with duct tape! That's pretty handy stuff! You can fix a hole in tent, rip on a puffy etc

The mileage done in those trail shoes was on tough terrain with lots of snow and water. I reckon they have done a decent distance.

Omg! I have the same shoes in the exact same color. I only have about 150 miles on mine and I hope they hold up. After seeing this video, I think I’m going for a different brand when these wear out.
Well the Sierra is extra rough on the shoes. I change every 350 miles, but my feet are old and need pampering.

I agree about Altras. Quality has gone downhill. I have a hole in the toe and side of one trail runner and they only have about 300 AT miles on them.🤷🏼♀️. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
