I always worry about the pet surviving more than the people.
No harm comes to the dog at all, don't worry. I avoid animal violence in all of the stories I write, and I will try to avoid using them on the channel

Gipson must be a popular name because this is like the third Creepypasta I listened too which involves a Wendingo, a cabin in the woods and a dog named Gipson.
It was Gibson actually but yeah that was my real dog's name. You probably heard this story being read by other channels. I think DMT and Campfire Tales are the other two who have read it.
@@JordanGrupe interesting I know the one I heard for was on Mrcreepypasta's channel and his was very similar. It involved this guy and his dog Gibson going up to a isolated cabin during a snow storm to meet his buddies so they can go ice fishing. Only for him and Gibson to be stalked by a Wendigo.

It, it has to be done when it's really cold. I myself took that exact. Had to have snow on the ground, we kept warm by sleeping in our sleeping bags (which reflects ur heat).

The writing and pacing in general just is off with this one.

If they make it out of this the camp master is going to be up on some very serious neglect charges, also pretty sure there is a rule that more than 1 adult has to go in case the adults like a predator right?
Everybody is handling this way too well. The lack of panic, delirium inducing terror and going into shock feels incredibly unrealistic. The main character isn't believably shity, he comes across like he has almost no emotional investment in any of this at all. I think the best example of the unrealistic detachment is the kid coming back, missing an eye, after being forced to watch a literal monster tear his friend's intestines out and devour them in front of him (along with the missing eye) and then being able to not only find his way back with a concussion but be able to relay the events verbally within 24 hours. That kid should either be curled up in a ball dead somewhere or almost completely unresponsive from going into shock. If you have ever watched a person be forcibly relieved of their eyeball they aren't exactly in the most present State of mind afterwards
