Mindfulness shouldn't be misused to become more productive. It is the natural result, but shouldn't be the main cause of learning it. It's like beating at the water with a stick instead of blowing fish out of the water with dynamite. Mindfulness is putting the net in the water and waiting for the fish to swim into the net.
If you don't concentrate on "succeed or fail", you will perform magnificently.
Yes, I am a coach by nature.

Give your work the dedication it deserves and not more. Practice mindfulness for yourself, not to give more productivity to a 9-5 that drains your emotional energy and doesn’t pay you enough to buy a decent home/life no matter how much work you put in.

If work is causing that many issues, maybe employers should treat their workers more humanely instead of convincing them to just self-optimize harder via mindfulness. Just a thought 🙄

I completely agree with this! There was a time when mindfulness made sense, but now that worker exploitation is at an all time high, mindfulness is a bandaid to keep people productive while they suffer under aggressive capitalism.

I need to use mindfulness techniques at my desk not to be productive but because my anxiety (for which I have received therapy and medication) is crushing me.

Yes🙏🏻 I had to learn the hard way companies play on people’s natural desire to give 120% to something and be great at what they do. Conveniently forgetting that you should only do that for something that deserves it, otherwise you’re being exploited.
