Whoever/whatever is controlling Quote in the past videos always seemed to have a good idea of where they were going, even moving a little robotically at times; this one seems a lot more unsure, taking time to assess where it's landed with each drop down that shaft, and being confused? by Misery's appearance also, Misery's appearance *has* to be meaningful, right? We've seen such central NPCs before, but this is such a blatantly strange context for such a central but mysterious character to show up. Level design is very coherent in this one, almost looking like a real level, minus...It actually leading anywhere. That number seems to be related to Quote's y-position in the shaft, but it starts ating strangely whenever they jump in Grassy Patch.
Some notes on this: 1. Like basically all the videos, the weapons are weird; Quote has both the Spur and the Snake, and the Blade has ammo, for some reason. Also note how in this video, Quote has the Booster v2.0. Of course, this is likely not relevant past 'weird early builds of the game'. 2. The counter below the weapon and HP seems to be a Y coordinate, truncated to only the last 5 digits, and with higher positions having lower Y values. Not sure if this means anything, but it's certainly weird. 3. The background ambiance in the Grassy Path and Staircase rooms seems odd to me; maybe speeding it up will reveal something? Then again, it could simply be nondescript wind noises. 4. On entering the Staircase, the Y coordinate counter seems to change completely: in the air, it seems to always be 00, but on the ground it's either 08 or some seemingly random 5 digit numbers. I'll try to list them all in a reply. 5. This Misery encounter reads to me as a broken scripted encounter. not sure what it means, if anything. 6. Regarding the description, it seems this one is dated to early 2011; seems to be a very late date. I'm thinking of making a list of all the iterations/recordings, listing their dates and such.
Here's a bit of the values of the top right counter, going down the first slopes: 65544 65576 96658 31112 31080 65544 65576 96648 31112 31080 08 (flat ground again) I note that these values seem very consistent, and line up with the way Quote descends the slopes. I may be wrong, but perhaps the counter is tracking the relative position on the tile RE slopes? That'd line up with how it reverts back to 08 on flat ground and 00 in the air. In any case, it's *possible* this is being used to encode something, but honestly I doubt it.

misery jumpscare... it seems like this video takes place once again in an older iteration of the game. whatever's generating the maps here seems to be less broken then previous videos. im curious as to what lies at the end of the grassy sky map, and why misery spontaneously appeared. interesting stuff
it's a digital webseries akin to petscop and whatnot. id recommend reading all of the video descriptions and community posts to get a grasp on the story so far
spur, super missile, snake, weird weapon (i suspect nemesis) and blade, 45 max hp and booster 2.0. almost certainly the same iteration as in Connection (which would confirm Connection as iteration 6), though with the snake, no fireball and quite a bit more hp this time
Why was Misery there? She didn't do anything... Also, I am starting to think the value up there might not be velocity, but related to the "generator" somehow? Maybe a "pressure" the generator has while making maps? Or some sort of status value? It's so weird, the uploaded makes it seem like they have so much trouble just grasping the file system, is the system old, or is it self-generating too? So strange... Can't wait for more

I think the value is for up and down's movement, if the player goes up, it decreases, and if the player goes down, it increases. It started to get weird on the staircase because the posicion of the player in the map was a so low that the counter had to restart itself in order to keep presenting the numerical value that corresponds to the player. Or that's My theory at least
