Love that you donated, & I assume taught them how to use & make more, to the school❤️ also awesome, the water purchase...maybe the locals had to purchase the container, which is much more that a fill up? Leave a smaller footprint🥰, enable others to do so as well❤️
I visited Cambodia in Sept 2018, and I saw those road side recycled patrol bottle sold in a coke bottles, my taxi driver stopped to refuel with it too. At first, I didn't understand, but eventually I learned that it was patrol. Outside of Siem Reap, Phom Phen, most people are poor, imagine COVID will made it even worst. Cambodian relied on tourism for their revenue, without it, imagine how hard it must have hit them. After drinking boiling water from the tea kettle for 3 days, a guest told me that it was collected rain water! luckily I always boiled my drinking water! Just a few travel tips for those who wish to visit Cambodia in the near future, they accept US$ more than their own currency, prices in the supermarket near tourist were listed in US$, it makes bargain shopping a little easier, Cambodia silk & sarong pants are great buy. Visitors must cover their shoulders & legs when visiting temples or the palace ground in it's capital, no exception.E.g. no tank top or shorts above the knees. They don't accept wearing a scarf over the tank top. If you have a little space in your suitcase, bring some pen, pencils, crayons, kids story books to give away to the kids who are selling souvenirs on the temples grounds. They don't get to keep the cash if you donate it to them, it will be taken by the adults who supervised them. I hope Cambodia will recover from COVID soon.
How much money does this man expect to make from his oil converter? He may give 1 away as charity to an orphanage in Cambodia, but I suspect there are ulterior motives involved & he could have found somewhere closer to home to donate to saving his carbon footprint in travel. But that doesn’t look as good on one’s company website, does it! Also, this is not a new concept. Used cooking oil has been used previously for fuel.
There are people that would not have been educated or well informed about bio fuel . Wonderful video Rejoice to see such watch beautiful places in the video . Stay positive. Continuous Awareness is Good .
I visited Cambodia in 2018, outside of Siam Reap, Phnon Phen, there are many poor people, who are not highly educated to understand bio diesel or renewal energy, a few lucky family get their kids to finish high school. Children were selling souvenirs before or after school in the tourist area, all tourist flock to Angkor Watt at 6am for sunrise, children were already selling coffee, taking breakfast orders in the open area. I assume he's from the UK, donating his bio diesel conveter near thew western world may not make a huge different, since patrol is still somewhat affordable in the west. Just like the NGO which provide clean drinking water, teaching the locals on how to convert cooking oil to power their motors will make a big difference. Yes, my 3 wheel taxi driver stop at one of the road side stall to buy a bottle of patrol from a recycle coke bottle.
*I speak ten languages...and what I detest the most of native speakers (specially English speakers) is the mockery they do when they detect one's accent...* *This guy should try to speak Cambodian or French!!!* Saudações desde o Brasil
Perhaps do not judge all English speakers in this way. I am multi lingual myself, but whether I spoke a native language, or not. I certainly would never mock an accent. It is not always so either, it is English speakers trying to speak in the same way they are spoken to, not mockery. My comment is really do not judge all by some people’s actions.
This was enjoyable to watch. Love the environmental aspect of it. Well done 😊

This is a few years old. Floating houses gone. Fish stocks in decline. Some people resettled.
French and German brilliance and inventiveness.
