Laser light sources are not just found in short throw projectors, the are in standard projectors too... and no one should rely on in build speakers in any projector, if your investing in a projector, add a soundbar.

Bring back the CRT projector, no lag, no motion blur, no colour issues, no black level issues, and no scaling issues, you get the resolution out that you put in.
Except they're big, heavy, power hogs, space heaters that have flickering at some Hz I can't remember, got errors on the edges, they've got toxic stuff inside and they're extremely difficult to recycle, the tubes can implode if they're damaged, and because of how they work, they got a chance of shocking you if you're not careful and touch a capacitor somehow (nothing lethal AFAIK, but still dangerous), then there's the magnetic interference they cause, so WiFi gets worse too...
@@kozinc this shows exactly what you know about them doesn't it... not much at all. You know they're big and heavy, but that is all you know. The rest is a total load of rubbish.
There is absolutely nothing outside the set able to shock you.
CRTs run very cool, they expell significantly less heat than any digital display, especially a digital projector.
They generally use a lot less power over the course of a movie than any digital projector, because power consumption follows image brightness, where as digitals pull basically constant power just for the light source.
The tubes are at no risk what so ever of implosion.
No one cares about recycling something they are still using and have no intention of disposing of.
Properly set up there are no "errors on the edges"
Digital TVs and projectors also have toxic materials inside, their lamps (where fitted) can also fail in such a way glass and toxic materials are released.
They do not flicker at all if set up correctly, if your eyes can see more than 72Hz or 96Hz then i want your vision, and so will everyone else.
It is impossible to be shocked from outside the set, said that already, but the capacitors are inside the set, and far too small to shock anyone.
No one gives a toss about WiFi, that's for school girls on social media, certainly has no place in a home cinema, but yeah, CRTs have absolutely zero effect on WiFi signals.
Might be best to stick to what you know, it certainly isn't projectors, and probably not anything else with electronics either.
CRT projectors were extremely cool back in the days, but very expensive 😢
@@hhkk6155 yeah, but everything A/V was very expensive back then compared to what you get now.
@@kozinc I have repaired RG's since the early 90's and all of what you have said, apart from the size and weight is totally incorrect. I have seen Plasma tv's that used more the a crt RPTV.

@@JCarlosWhite no it was a video of one here on TH-cam. I have seen them up close and I still didn't like them.
@@bigbadjohnpesek9894 I’ve been doing some research and it looks like it depends a lot on the screen as well. It looks like 2300 or more ANSI lumens is needed for the projector to work
