Great video on your ownership of the Bolt. Congratulations on the new car. I can't wait to see the new videos and what you got. Have a great day, and be blessed.
I watched your early reviews when this car first came out and it definitely helped with the decision to get my Bolt EUV. Mine is loaded with sunroof and super cruise so I feel like I have basically everything I need except for faster charging. I'm in Central Ohio and drove it through Louisville last fall on my way to Mammoth Cave. Great trip.
We said goodbye to our 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV Premiere Redline Edition for a 2023 VW ID.4 Pro S AWD. The VW has a Branded/Lemon Title and had only 939 on it. Of course before buying it I asked VW if the factory warranties were still good on the car and they reassured me they were after I asked them repeatedly. They also told me the problem involved a door unlocking which they fixed with a software update. The dealer let us take the car to a VW dealer for a full diagnosis before buying the car. We have since put 442 miles on the car and no problems at all the car runs perfectly. The Bolt wins on Technology but the VW wins on comfort, ride, and most importantly charging speed. We would still have the Bolt if that charging speed were as fast as the ID.4. The dealer gave us $20,000 for the Bolt in trade for the VW which was $29,395.
Glad you had such a great experience in the Bolt, and quite honestly your videos over the past years was one of the factors that pushed me into a Bolt EUV. Like you said, there's a few "nice to have" items I wish the car had, but ultimately it's a great fit for my family's driving needs, and a perfect starter EV.
I’m glad my videos were helpful in that decision process! It really is one of my favorite vehicles, I will miss it. But maybe in a few years I’ll be back! But I will still be making plenty of Bolt content and EV content as the Equinox EV and 2025 Bolt show up! Thanks again for the support! 🙏🏻
I'm still in the beginning stages with my Bolt EV and I'm loving every minute of it. But yeah, I'm not going to have it forever. I know for you it's been a great run. Gr8 vid as usual. 🚗🇺🇲🔌⚡
A year later and my '23 euv Lt is going great: zero problems. I think I'll be keeping mine, and it may become battery storage for my impending house solar system.
Having the Premier and thus having ACC plus having gotten the Comma 3X with OpenPilot really brings this car to a whole other level. Only reason I'd ever need to upgrade in the future is charging speed and range. Which right now, I don't worry about at all
I got my Bolt EUV last May and still love it. Your earlier reviews influenced me. BTW, I live in Jeffersontown and enjoy identifying the local scenery. Are you related to Milton Metz, the WHAS broadcaster in Louisville in years past?
I got my Bolt EUV premier and, so far, never got a problem with it. The only complaint will be the slow charging when i do travel far from home. I am waiting for the Equinox EV. I hope GM figured out all the software problems and i will see if i can own one. I hope you show us soon what new car you got. Love your TH-cam channel.
Best advice hidden in the video: don't drive cars that are better than the one you own. For example, when on vacation, rent a car at least one step below your daily, so you'll be glad to turn it in. Same thing for wines: never try a fancy wine because your box wines will disappoint unless your willing to step-up. :)
I just did a long review on your last Bolt video. You are literally speaking my mind. I Love my Bolt EUV. It is So Great that driving any other luxury model is simply no big deal. I listen to the features; the stereo system, the ride quality, the heated seats and steering wheel etc. Yeah, I know I have all that… and truthfully you get spoiled quickly so I don’t want to lease a 60k car that doesn’t have all that. And yes, I made money on my Honda Fit when I traded. My wife Loves Chick Filet so like you I order on the app and cruise through the pick up. Ok, I’ve got to find your next video to see what you bought… but bye bye Bolt, we love you!
I've owned Bolt's for over seven years, two leases before my 2023 loaded EUV which I bought, it's still my favorite car. I stopped the latest tech rat race, first charging speed is more important to reviewers than drivers, we really don't have a problem with it. Our Premier is loaded, everything we want in a car and it was cheap but the car isn't. I guess you bought a Tesla but I don't like Tesla's and I really don't like Musk! Good luck with your Model 3.
I have been searching for a 2023 Bolt EUV but I am finding that no Chevy dealership near me is interested in getting one for me. I have said I will pay to have it transported and asked about dealer trades and have been ghosted by 5 different dealerships. Really upsetting. If you work at a dealership and know of a way I can get one to Denver I would greatly appreciate it as I hage bewn ready to move on one for over a month now. Thanks Metz
Have 2023 fully loaded with super cruise., test drove a bolt with the lane assist and was not having it. Was thinking of getting a Tesla Y is good deal now with 300 range, Test drove a MY and a ultra cruise debating with Tesla or blazer but ultra cruise with any GM is safer than , What the best tint carbon fiber , need heat resistant for California

Thank you, Donald 🙏🏻

Glad I could help with the decision! I definitely wish I had gone with a Premier trim with SC.
I bet it’s a lot of fun!
Thanks for watching, Ben!

The deals on the ID.4 right now are insane. So I don’t blame you

@@MetzTech looking forward to your future content too - I'll be watching no matter what you're driving. Keep up the great work!

Definitely curious what the new car is. I'm looking forward to the review

That’s awesome! 👏🏼
I’m not! Metz is just part of my last name! Easier than the full thing lol

It really is dangerous. If I could avoid it for work I would…But such is life!
Good advice
Ignorance sometimes really is bliss hehe

Thanks so much! I do agree about charging speeds. Unless you’re traveling and want to spend the least amount of time, it doesn’t matter
Enjoy the new car!!

They made lane-keep sloppy to sell supercruise
Lyriq? Or Polestar?
I have a video coming on a Lyriq!
Now if you got the Premier with SS and SC Louis... 🙃
Right? They would’ve been nice for sure.
Please tell me you got an Chevy!
Spoiler. I did not 😅
@firemanauxoneknox4287 not a Kia. I love them tho
It's either a Caddy or Mustang. My money is on the stang.
