I am proud to say, i was there, and i recommend you to visit this beautiful island, and get lost, cause you won't find a medieval place such this. The food is incredible! The atmosphere will remain in your memories forever. Thanks DW for this excellent report!
Greek islands are unforgettable! I keep wanting to re visit again and again. I have visited Bahamas once, but never made me feel like I must re visit. I love the Mediterranean for it's history and Roman ruins !
What I appreciate about Sara's videos is that she's so familiar with Greece in general, which results in great and fun output such as this. Refreshing to see also Kalymnos here, besides the obvious choices
I visited Greece 4 times and can't get enough of it 😊 first visit was 2010, 2 weeks vacation with a small budget! I took the12 hours train from Paris to Venice, spend 2 nights in Venice then a 12 Minoan ship to the West coast Greece. Spend 2 nights in Athens, and ferry to Santorini for 3 nights! Absolutely charmed by its beauty! Crossing the Adriadic Sea was so relaxing, no calls, no emails, just sunset, sunrise on the sea! Waking up on Santorini and hearing the sea breeze was magical. Second visit was Jan 2014, cold and raining but I still visited the nearby volcano Island and spend most time in Athens. Third visit was 2016, Athens, Crete and Santorini! I accidentally visited during Greek Easter, many shops were closed for 3 days! I took the bus to explore Crete and stayed at the capital of and Hania, with Vanitian influence. Crete was the center of Western civilization with Minoan history, the knossos Palace is still a museum to visit. 4th visit was July 2019 via Turkey! I spend 3 weeks all over Turkey, started at the Turkish Rivera coast lines, Troy, Ismir, Ephesus, and Fetheye. Took a 2 nights yatch cruise to the coastal town of KAS, which looks like a Greek town! I took the bus back to Fetheye, famous for sky diving, diving 🤿 for 2 nights and then a 90 minutes speed ferry to Rhode! My 5 days there was unforgettable! My hostel kitchen was newly renovated, with free cookbook to make simple pasta saves a lot for me 😊 There were always interesting travelers for a chat while cooking 😊. Rhonda became my new favorite island! I visit led Lindos, and saw free roaming 🦚 on one of the mountains. There are so many things to see in Rhodes, 5 days are not enough! It was difficult to deoart Rhode but i had to continue my journey in Turkey, hot air balloon ride, the Cotton Castle Pamukkali & , Istanbul etc. When the pandemic lockdown happened, i was so glad i had a magical year in 2019!!! I would love to re visit these places again!
It's always a complete and utter blessing to be in Greece. Anywhere on both mainland as well as any of its 6000 surrounding islands. Have a wonderful time. Let it's beauty, people, food and tranquility of this magical land engulf your heart with love
@@___beyondhorizon4664 which of the 6000 islanda have you visited. And which of the mainland have you visited with its 80% mountains, 800 natural hotsprings, 400 wetlands, 15.000 caves. 18.000 registered archaeologicap sites, and so on and so on? My point is sarcastic. Do you know why so many people have so many different favorites about Greece? Because every bases it on the few places they have seen. And since Greece needs a lifetime to truly explore,.this is the reason why everyone has different favorites
Interesting for me when she says "beatiful city of Lindos". Because in my native language, Brazilian-Portuguese, beatiful means lindo. So lindos is plural for lindo.
Symi is one of the most beautiful Greek islands but also one of the most expensive. Accommodation and food are extremely expensive, to the point where prices could be considered unrealistic (rip off,... to be exact) Restaurant owners take advantage of daily day trips from Rhodes or other nearby islands and make a huge profit. When day visitors leave the island, restaurant owners drop the prices. I remember when I visited Symi and Drachmas was the currency at the time, the cheapest room to let, I could find was 7.500 GRD and most prices were 12.000 GRD and above, when at the same time you could find a room for 1.500 GRD in Santorini. The room I found was awful, dirty and both bedding and provided towels were old and yellowish. The price of a portion of moussaka was 2.500 GRD from 12 the noon till the departure of tourists and was dropped down to 1.500 GRD, when the same period the normal price for the same dish was 500 GRD elsewhere in Greece. I bought a few food supplies from a grocery shop (very expensive but cheaper than eating in a restaurant) and fed my self during my stay there. I would advise future visitors to get some food and drink supplies before visiting the island, either for one (preferable) or more days or visit nearby islands instead. There is also another option, which is the nearby Turkey,... obviously not as beautiful as Greece, but at least there is sun, sea and nice food, there too and is much cheaper than in Greece. Turkish people are also very friendly!!!
Love your video on Greece and loved our time there years back 😊 and may God Richly Bless you and may Jesus Christ show you His GREAT love that He has for each of YOU ❤️ Just ask Him to show you personally His Love as He did to me years ago 😊
As someone who lives in Greece but on the mainland, tourists go to the tour trap islands and overpay for subpar food and overcrowded spots.... Come to mainland/peloponnese for a more authentic and better bang for your buck.
These places are too hot in the summer that you don’t wish to go out at daytime. Nightlife is very important since night is cooler. But you didnt show any nightlife scene.

how did they manage to film without showing the thousands of illegal immigrants? What kind of video editor did they use?
