It’s true. They are a cool couple but some of their fans aren’t that cool. I once expressed that I didn’t want to go to Amazon because I was afraid of reptiles. Then their fans attacked me so fiercely on their comments. So I disappeared right away and return now after almost 2 years.
My next favorite island is Milos. I wish you two will visit that island as well.

I have been to many Greek Islands over the years and all are beautiful in their own unique way but there is something so magical about Rhodes !! and oh so romantic ! :)

@@katarzynamariamuszynska2811 Rhodes is one of the largest Islands so you would need quite a bit of time ! However if you want to capture a taste of Rhodes I think 5 - 7 days would be enough :)

Greeks weren't the only people in Asia Minor. Also Hittites, Persians, Romans and others. Turks have been there for a thousand years now. What's your point?

My family is from Rhodes. My grandpa was one of the founders of the Synagogue there. Our family lived in the same home for 400 years till the British bombed it by accident in the WW2. We lost all our properties in Rhodos.. I wish I could reclaim our seaside home now occupied.
You can reclaim compensation from the Greek government, find a good lawyer in Athens, if you have the papers of your property.😊

rhodes is by far my favorite amongst the greek islands..and lindos was the cherry on top for me.

I was there in 2022 just for a few hours on a cruise, I had never heard of it, however when we started exploring (via a tour), something felt magical about it and I vowed to return.
Also, try a gyro and a gelato, they have the most interesting flavors in the old town (grey in color and black in color etc…). 😊
I've been in Rhodes only one time and I'll go to Rhodes next fall. I should want go now but have to wait a few months😢. Very nice place and Greece is one of my favorite countries

Wish we had more medieval towns in Greece like this. Rhodes is fascinating. Huge island,full of history,various landscape,local costume and food, 300 days of sunshine etc
It's like living in medieval. The palace, the streets , the museums, the sea , the food, all was amazing.... I must visit the island in the future 👌👌

Rhodes has been on my radar for a bit but at the back of my mind very aware that it’s been a hotspot for Brits for a long time and we tend to avoid party hotspot but looks like this time of the year it’s quieter and looks like parties have moved on to Mykonos…

Rhodes isnt a party island, i mean there are some british clubs in faliraki but thats's it. There is a ton of things to see i suggest you to visit it. Apart from the old town there are incredible beaches, ancient Greek sites, and nice wildlife in its forest's for example there is a huge population of Fallow deer
The British go for their wild parties in Faliraki which is a particular town in another part of the island.
Rhodes is rather big and has many villages, little towns, beautiful beaches and archeological/historical sites which worth visiting.
You can visit Rhodes at any time and you're gonna have a relaxed vacation. Faliraki does have a "bar street" but also some nice stuff to see.
The Calypso palace is a hotel which I can highly recommend especially the rooms with sharing pool and you've a bus stop in near by from where you're in no time in either Rhodes old town or Lindos, Epta Piges etc.

Take an one day excursion to nearby Symi. You will see the boats at the port of Rhodes. Definitely a must do.
I'm not surprised you love Rhodes Town...it's my very favourite place in Greece, and I've been to loads of places in Greece! I love getting lost in the maze especially at night; I've been many times and I always find sites I'd not come across before..
There are some beaches a few kilometres away from Rhodes Town which are nicer that the rip- off beach club one you went to; you can get there by public bus for very little money, but be aware they run on GMT ( Greek Maybe Time) 😅.
I'm sure you'll equally love beautiful Lindos, on the other end of the Island- again an amazing place full of maze- like streets ( throw away your Google maps lol)- can't wait to see what you thought of it!
Rhodes is a great place to visit with lots to do l, some fantastic beaches and bays also some fantastic fish restaurantsoff the beaten track. I used to live there in 95 and got married there in 2018. Great memories

I started watching your channel when I was actually planning my trip to Rhodes back in April this year, as I was very much into watching your Greece videos. I've watched your videos from the very start and absolutely love your content and adore your way of portraying your travels. Keep it up - everyone's dream is to travel and I may not be able to do so in my lifetime, however, I always look forward to following your next trip and appreciate the countries just by watching your videos! Old Town Rhodes was my absolute favorite port visit during a Med cruise aboard USS Forrestal, 1991. We pulled in twice during July and August. It didn’t matter if you stayed in Rhodes or took a bus ride down to Lindos, it was a GREAT day of liberty!!

I was lucky enough to visit Rhodes for 1 day on a private tour. I could spend at least 2 more days in that enchanting island. I wouldn't mind returning in the future.

You are so right what you have said is people go on about the scams etc but from our various times in Morocco the people are friendly, have the same sense of humour and the food and country is our favourite. We are going back again later this year for a month. We really do miss being there.

Fun Fact: Suleiman The Magnificent chased the Knights of St John out of Rhodes. He didn't imprison them or kill them, he just made them leave. He would later regret that during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565, when the Knights of St. John prevailed against his naval fleet. That victory led to the building of the great city of Valetta. I hope you guys go there someday.

Property on the island isn't that expensive you can get a nice house with sea view, 3 Bedrooms and a pool for 340k I'm also thinking about getting something there at some point since I do love the island

I considered a trip to Rhodes or Mykonos or Corfu but ended going to Athens. I wish I had gone to Rhodes too.
Very nice video as always.I hope except Lindos you have visited Kalithea Springs which is a fantastic place to swim and relax.Only one spot in Greece ,smaller scale, is like Rhodes and it is called Monemvasia at Peloponnisos. You definetely have to visit Nayplio in the same area with Epidayros .Castles,ancient theatres and great history fron the ancient years.Check it.💙💙
There are so many more things to see in Rhodes..Kameiros was one of the most powerful towns in the ancient times...also Lindos, Ialyssos,the ancient stadium of Rhodes and so many more,!

The place you visited and thought you were just in a museum of archeolgy is the world famous HOSPITAL. The knights that settled in Rodos were the knights of St John and were called the HOSPITALIERS.
Greece has free entry days a few times a year to museums etc. You were lucky!

Just found your channel two weeks ago and I'm pretty much binging the older videos. Right now I've binged everything from Greece 😅 since at the of may I came back from Rhodes and I'm really missing it. Right now I'm just thinking if I should come back in September then it would the third time within a year I visited the beautiful island and the lovely people.
Dunno if you're still on the island or if you do read the comment but I can really recommend visiting the Anthony Quinn Bay it's a lovely (at least in may it was very relaxing) and Epta Piges as well as the valley of butterflies (right now you should already be able to see some there and if not it's still an incredible beautiful piece of nature).
Lindos is also a really beautiful city with lots of great restaurants, a beautiful beach and magnificent view from the acropolis.

@@JumpingPlaces nice so looking forward to it even though I know it makes me miss the island even more 😅. There are just so many beautiful and also ancient sites on Rhodes and from some like ancient city of kamiros one can gets a view above the whole island of from Filerimos Monastery where dozens of peacocks roam around. Greece and especially their islands are just incredible beautiful and somehow special since as you said each and everyone has tons host history and influence from different cultures all mixed together with super friendly people and insanely good food and some great wines 😅.
