Two of my favorite Santana songs. Underrated and under appreciated. But this is pure love and consciousness. Brings tears to my eyes and joy to my soul.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful concert on TH-cam, it was so meaningful for Berlin and for Santana shortly before the wall dropped down. Saw that concert in Brussels in 1987 and was so terribly lucky to meet the Santana band after. They are the greatest! So wonderful memories!

Thanks for writing!About 15 years ago I paid $20 for the horrible quality b/w convert from Berlin I have posted on my channel here and I was so happy to have it!These good quality ones were posted awhile back by a big Santana fan,but got taken down,so I was glad I made copies and could repost them.I sure loved the band especially at this time and I'm so happy you got to experience that at such a meaningful time.I put the '87 Peace March from Moscow here too.God Bless You!!
When Freedom came out but just Veracruz was released I ran to my local radio station where I knew a pretty cool DJ,and she did not even have a copy,it wound up being in the store the next day and is still one of my favorites.Beyond Appearances and Freedom were the closest Carlos came to embracing Christianity fully.Praise really has the Holy Spirit and BWG was so cool cause he sang lead and dedicated it to his wife.Those are my 2 of my faves on there too but She Can't Let Go is really deep and Once It's Gotcha a super jam and Love Is You one of his best ballads!
Holy crap. Buddy Miles was awesome. I don't think I've ever really heard him sing before. It's amazing to see this stuff. Clearly, Santana's depth just goes on and on. Just when you think you've seen all he has to offer, you see something like this. Truly awesome. Thx!

Buddy performed with Carlos Live inside a volcano in Hawaii. Thanks for reminding me of Buddy's vocals. I'm headed there right after this.
