The growth of the Muslim population also is helped by the fact that Muslims have the youngest median age (24 in 2015) of all major religious groups, more than seven years younger than the median age of non-Muslims.

@FTD Facts great video but one correction, Islam is actually not that new in the United States. You forgot to mention that a lot of the earliest African slaves were Muslim. Even the founding fathers were well aware of this and discussed how Islamic theology influenced some of their writings and philosophies. Islam has grown tremendously in the US since the 20th century as you said but its presence goes as far back as the founding of this nation.
