Good day MCF984. I am sorry to say, that I would have to write an entire novel under your comment, even to explain the basics for this, but If I were to explain it as short and understandable as possible: I took the original audio file and split it up into segments, one 60th of a second each (about 330 segments). then I amplified each segments signal to peak, converted each segment into a 188 Wave size MML String, pasted it into the wave segments of 6 N163 instruments with 64 Waves each, individually, and set the volume in the volume envelope of the instrument to every segment's original amplitude individually, so every segment has the entire information plus volume. In the arpeggio and pitch I set the values so, that the samples play at 60 Hz. Lastly I set the Trackers Speed to (16 | 40) to get 1 row per second (15 Bpm), inserted the instruments in order directly, but then noticed, that one N163 instrument has 64 waves, not 60, meaning I had to delay the playback of the individual samples by ~0.07 seconds (Hence the Gxx effect) each, delaying each row by 4 ticks before the last one, finish. ... this already is getting too long and hard to understand. I'm sorry, but I'm no expert in explaining stuff, unless I spend much time on it, which I normally do. Also: that whole stuff I just said only applies, if you sample a sound effect, insted of an instrument, that's playing one single note (or hoarmonics over it like wholes, major thirds, perfect fifths, octaves, etc.), but I'm explaining how or why and this reply would be twice as long, so let's leave it here for now. Have a good day.

N163 turns near speaker quality
NAMCO cannot imagine that in the future their n163 will become DPCM-like😆
nothing happened in 1989
Nice Namco 163 cover of the song, and it sounds super close, faithful, and very nearly identical to the original song!😄🤩😎👌

N163 doing something at a quality is expected
But how the heck did you get this to sound muffled
I assume, it's this FamiTracker versoion's audio output settings. I think, it has some treble filtering in the sound settings by default.
I didnt understand. What does this mean??
