Hi Matt, just focusing on the volume level, is the unison increasing your guitar signal by 6 db compared to the hi-z minimum of 10db?

So far it's not quite possible in LUNA with the way auxes are handled. You can leave it active for tracking, but you have to bounce it to print it.

Just something strange happening in my console .. if I mute the DI Input there is no signal sent to AUX 2 ... can you guess what is reason ?? thanks for your valuable work

I'm not sure what happened in the video - I think it was working as Pre even though it was set to Post on the Aux. Pre is what you will need.

Hi Matt, When you printed to PT I noticed you did not engage the UAD REC button in Consol and left it on UAD MON...Is that correct?

It is if you want to keep the dry/DI track, but doesn't matter if you're just recording the stereo aux.

Oh, and keep in mind Unison always prints, so anything in the Unison slot disregards Rec/Mon.

Will this have any effect when I have a outboard reverb in a stereo track in console? And if so should I send both the dry signal and the aux signal to my stereo reverb track? Thanks 🙏🏻

Great questions! Make sure your outboard reverb is set 100% wet and only feed it from the aux. Return that outboard reverb to a linked pair of channels in Console and use the channel faders to blend to taste. Thanks!

@@MattHepworth Thanks that’s almost what I did, but I also sent my DI to the stereo reverb track. As I wrote in another post here I can’t mute my DI track with cutting the signal to my aux. Not sure how you did this. Thanks for your help:)

@@glenn7350 yeah i run into the same prob. I would just love to record (print) a Unison or Inserted track and also a clean DI at the same time.

Unison will always print, so you'd need to utilize a separate DI and another input to do what you want with Unison, however, you can easily print an insert AND keep the dry DI. Check out my short 5 Apollo Tips video for how.

See, that's the one thing I don't understand with UA, so many capabilities, so little documentation, for such an expensive product, I'd really wish they had this enormous KB with advanced search because realy, I get things better from reading

How are you able to mute channel one and get your auxiliary to get a signal when set to post?

I'll need to go back and rethink that. The Unison plugin simply adds the impedance. Was it a fluke that it worked in Post...? I think it passes through if you're using this trick anyway, but I need to go back and confirm. It's been too long, sorry.

Thanks Matt works great in console but I cannot record in Luna. Is there a trick to this as I set input to Aux 1 L and Aux 1 R but there is no signal.

Unfortunately, there's not currently a way to use Auxes with LUNA like this. If I can think of a workaround I'll let you know.

Sounds like your aux is set to Post instead of Pre.

One last question sir. Do I put compressor and pultech eq plugins on the DI track or the aux track?

I'd put them after the Fender on the aux, unless you wanted to use them more like pedals. If the latter, put them before the Fender, but still on the aux.
