That's not truth, "That is your son, fox? I see... he has an interesting fate(Boruto). It's a pitty fox, despite the power you posses you have no means to pass it down to the next generation" the first part was Momoshiki talking ABOUT Boruto's destiny(so he looks at Boruto) not Naruto's, the second part was talking about Naruto's power, simply because their clan(Otsutsuki) can pass all their powers just by eating each others in the moment, while Naruto has all that power but humans like us can't do what those aliens do. Then he proceded to show how they do things, and eats Kinshiki. At no time Momoshiki was talking about Naruto's future

I have a sad yet poetic fact for this episode: the first episode of Naruto aired on October 3, 2002 while this aired on October 3, 2021.....meaning Kurama died on the 19th anniversary of when Naruto first premiered. 19 years....let that sing it and now it's been a year and God his death still hurts😢💔

Naruto definitely got nerfed but by regular ninja standards, he still has godlike levels of chakra. Remember, the seal Minato used on him was built to leak Kurama’s chakra over time so that it naturally buffed and mixed with Naruto’s chakra pool throughout his life. Not to mention Uzumakis are born with larger than normal chakra amounts. As an adult, Naruto is definitely still unrivaled in his chakra levels even without Kurama, excluding upcoming main villains.
People complain about Sasuke losing his rinnegan like it was just some random decision to nerf Sasuke. They say he should have easily been able to dodge that. I say shut up. He was just severely beaten, had his face slammed into the dirt, was low on chakra after spamming the rinnegan abilities, and had more holes in him than Jiraiya did when he died. Sasuke also had no reason to think there was another enemy so he was very vulnerable. It was Momoshiikis perfect chance to get rid of his greatest threat. And he is more than powerful enough to get the drop on Sasuke in that state. Borushiki proved how strong he could be against Boro.
People also act like there have never been events in the other shows that made characters suffer for having their guards down. Jiraiya got his arm blown off when he thought he beat the paths of pain and he died as a result. Kakashi lost his Sharingan because his guard was down and he thought Madara would have no business with him since he was Fighting Naruto and Sasuke. And then there's Madara himself who also let his guard down around an ally. Seriously people didn't complain so much when Kakashi lost his eye.
IMO you're misinterpreting why some of the fandom including me are upset with this nerf. It's not how it happened but WHY it happened. It's clear they wanted to nerf Naruto and Sasuke for the sake of the story just to give the spotlight to Boruto and Kawaki. And you can say "well, the show's called Boruto so it's obvious they would do that" whoever the protagonist is this is just lazy writing tbh, just like how they offed Madara to open the stage for Kaguya and the Otsutsuki and sub sequentially, Boruto. So you can explain power levels, letting your guard down, underestimating your opponents or whatever anime retcon story points you want, but IMO it still looks so bad from a story-writing perspective, kinda like how they randomly nerfed Gohan on Super.

There is one thing we forget that the title of this anime is "Boruto", so everything that is impossible is possible.

I love how Momoshiki only ever refers to Boruto by name when he's not talking directly to him, every other time he just calls him "Brat", "boy", "lad" or if he's feeling especially irritated he calls him "Bastard" XD

naruto has perfected sage mode AND uzumaki chakra reserves.
sasuke lost his rinnegan, but he essentially has everything else besides that. he has his speed(he cloaks himself with lightning), ems, susanoo, etc
To be honest, just like Naruto said, that he'd be happy that they are dying together. This fact made me more sad. Seeing Naruto loose Kurama and separating from him forever had more impact than Naruto and Kurama dying together.
It might be Boruto's journey, but Naruto is the one still suffering, losing everyone close to him one by one. But still, just like how Hashirama said, "A ninja is the one who endures."
RIP Kurama.

Kurama is basically a giant sentient pool of chakra. He burned thru his entire essence and his soul went to the afterlife.
This was the chapter that made me see again how the series is going since I never liked Boruto, nor did the Naruto war arc.
But this as soon as I found out, made me see what was happening, that's how far into my heart these 2 got. Bringing back an old fan who disagrees with the path the series took many years ago.

@@juanbarrera1356 the next ep after this is a chunin exam arc where the chunin exams happen with no one invading the village like momoshiki did earlier on. So u get to see different characters become chunin. The other arcs are filler but it shows kawaki learning how to be a shinobi for the most part

@@mrkingdrago1013 bc boruto is a manga first and each manga chapter releases every month. Bc of that the anime has to wait a while for the manga to have new story material to adapt in the show. So if I were u I would treat boruto like a seasonal anime basically.

In anime, pierrot made a new chunnin exam, kawaki decided to become shinobi, then they made a mini arc where kawaki became a shinobi and he recivced his own bandana,.. NOW in the new code arc, kawaki is wearing his bandana, the same he recived in "anime only eps", well, do you think for anime, you can say those anime arc were "filler"?

The other kyubi were NOT happy about Kurama's death. Most of all Shukaku.
Naruto and Sasuke both lost 50% of their power but their still technically the strongest in the village they still have most of their abilities.
Sasuke yes as he just lost the Rinnegan powers but Naruto loses a lot of his hax without Kurama.
Boruto and Kawaki is also currently the strongest in the village (outside of the other 2 who are also currently in the village in the manga.)
@@stevenviljoen160 naruto is still fast without kurama and if he wanted he could’ve learned the flying thunder god like his dad plus he still has plenty of chakra reserves bc he’s half uzumaki and his sage mode enhances everything so naruto is just as strong
@@Chris-id3vt He loses a lot of chakra, his healing factor (he gets a hit a lot and relies on it overmuch, if not for Kawaki even Naruto would have died vs Dekta because of that) his many many abilities that was only able to be used like the Kurama arms and Kurama avatar forms, Bijou bombs and many many others.
There is a reason Naruto stopped using sage mode after learning KCM, its benefits was insane and Naruto no longer has any of it, also KCM boosts his stats a lot more than Sage mode so he loses a large portion of his speed and physical strength aswell.
the real only big thing naruto lost with kurama is the healing factor tbh kcm2 wasnt TOO much of a amp for his physical abilities and speed considering naruto was already ftl as a child. sage mode naruto is and ems sasuke are still among the strongest shinobis without downplay

Beautiful episode yet again. Momoshiki taking out Sasuke's rinnegan was the perfect move on his part, but Sasuke fanboys were unfortunately not ready for that at the time. I was scraping salt off the streets for weeks, the cars couldn't even get out of the driveways. Tough times.

Sasuke had Sharingan Naruto had Kurama and both powers 'leaked' in the Land of Waves arc.
Sasuke got Chidori Naruto got Rasengan
Sasuke got Curse mark Naruto learnt how to get extra chakra from kurama
And so on...
In shippuden Naruto got sage mode sasuke got Mangekyo
Naruto got KCM1 and Sasuke got Eternal Mangekyo
And then Naruto and Sasuke got Six paths sage mode
And now they both lost their most powerful powers together Kurama was dying and then Sasuke lost rennigan

The nerfs were necessary, after this arc, boruto and kawaki got much more development because naruto does not shine anymore in the story

I just don't get why they didn't do a Dragon Ball Z. They didn't nerf Goku for Gohan, they brought Gohan up to Goku's level after several arcs. The same should've happened here. Even in Super, they make the most popular characters stronger in Goku, Vegeta and Gohan whereas, here, they make the most popular characters in Naruto and Sasuke weaker. Boo!

On the title side, Boruto is the main character now and it will be focused on him not Naruto. I think after this episode is the last one on Canon episode? But there's the continuation of Chunin Exam after this. Then skip until before the Sasuke Retsuden episodes, those episodes are wholesome!

Obviously the reason Momoshiki took out Sasuke's rinnegan is the transportation jutsu but I like to think that he felt a small sense of camaraderie with Isshiki and was like "I know how much you hated this Rinnegan, I pour this one out of you my fellow Otsusuki"
Nah that’s not what Momo would have been thinking at all, the otsutsuki are as selfish as you can get and want to hai power for themselves the only “good” relations they have is with their guardians from what we have seen as with Kenshiki with Momo but even then Kaguya who played the same role betrayed Ishikki. Momo had his timnegan stabbed by Sasuke back in the Chunin exams arc and this basically was revenge for that plus Sasuke utilised the rinnegan to counter momo in their fight various times even when Sasuke first saw them in the ice dimension much earlier in the story

Honestly I don't see Sasuke getting stabbed as a Nerf. It was unexpected and the sharingan can only sense chakra when it's activated. Mire like- He did sense it. Just too late. The shock got to him. He would have been able to dodge it if it wasn't an actually truly shocking thing to witness happening. You gotta remember it wasn't Boruto stabbing. It was Momoshiki. Yes nerds are happening but you cant call everything a nerf just because you're high on Naruto nostalgia. That's a tad unfair.

It didn't show it in the anime, but in the manga, it was hinted that Momoshiki manifested after Boruto passed out from his injuries during Naruto's fight with Isshiki. He remained out of sight, waiting to see if they would end up defeating Isshiki, although as he says, he did not expect them to.
He did not get involved in the fight because he knows how strong Isshiki was, there was no way he was going to risk losing Boruto as a vessel in a fight he knew he would not be able to win.
