    Nice video. I’ve been using the trident for about 7 months and definitely like the convenience of automated testing. Nice tank behind you. Sounds like you are learning a lot about this hobby and the apex. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks! Honestly I woke up this morning to the apex being disconnected from fusion once again, so I am considering getting rid of the entire system. Way too many problems as of now for me to have had it for a short time!

      The Coral Doctor do you have it connected wirelessly or are you using cat 5 cable? I used to have the same problem. I’ve had mine for a while now but I think I reset my apex at the brain using a paper clip and let it reboot. Sometimes the software updates screw them up as well. I haven’t had that issue for a while thank God because it was annoying.

    Great day ! hope you and safe and well. I stumbled across some of your videos really like the one about the bettas, the green machine and when you were swimming. personally, i am into freshwater predatory fish. However, i do peek into the saltwater world from time to time. By the way did you get your law degree yet? keep fighting for your cause and much success! wiz

    Thanks for sharing. My Trident has been sitting in the box for weeks. What better time to set it up than tonight, during the blizzard. ALSO - Are you a Star Wars fan? If so, that would be a "Hat Tick" 😜

    I've heard of too many problems with it, so I'm trying out the reefbot actually for the first time right now. Hopefully it works out. I know it's noisy and slow AH so far

      Hi! I actually need to update this video. I had way too many issues with the trident specifically since filming this. It’s too sensitive and delicate. I hope they make a better version in the future

      @@thecoraldoctor Are you able to send it back, or is this going to be on offerup? LOL

    Awesome review. I’m setting up a brand new hundred gallon reef tank. I’ve had a little success with my other one because the chemistry part of it gets a little confusing for me so I’m looking for an automated system like the Neptune. I think I’m gonna pull the trigger on it. BTW... Congratulations on your law degree 👍🏻. Also, it’s not very often you see a beautiful lady into reefing. Keep up the good work. Love it!

      Thank you so much! I actually do not recommend it anymore. I feel that the intentions behind the system are great, but the actual manufacturing of it makes the system incredibly sensitive and prone to issues. I have been so busy I haven’t had a chance to make an updated video, but I plan to next month. I suggest waiting for a better/newer version or self testing until a durable one arrives. Good luck!

    Sorry you had those issues as I’m sure it was frustrating to say the least. The good thing about the Trident 🔱 is the piece of mind that it gives you and less time you have to test for those elements. 😁 like anything else it has it draw backs like any equipment can have. All in all I think it’s a great tool to have as a Reefer.

      Agreed! It was just SO crazy how I had two random problems back to back. LOL I almost gave up thinking these problems would keep coming lol. So glad they were resolved!

    Great review going to buy one for my 425 xl on black friday glad to here a honest review rather than the neptunes fan boys who say it’s the best thing since the wheel

      Black Redneck Hey! I’ve actually had several more issues since making this video so I actually don’t recommend. It’s too sensitive of a product in my opinion. I would wait for if they release a better version or check out api. I will be updating my page soon, but I no longer use mine if it helps with your decision

      I have an apex & am very happy with it and the inter face. Their customer service is great and when I had to open a ticket I got a response with in 12hrs. You should check out Reef Automations GHL vs Neptune series. You might change your mind after watching it.

    You are a “coral Dr” but pay someone to service your tank??

    • @bdanz5851
      @bdanz5851 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes dip shit....Just like when the Dr. makes a diagnosis on your 'dip-shitnia' then someone else at walgreens services your prescription filling.....

    • @thecoraldoctor
      @thecoraldoctor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Tony! Yes thanks for asking. The DR name is in a reference to my doctorate degree where I currently research and further my efforts in ocean conservation and coral preservation. As for me running my tank at home, I am not an expert with the hands on care and fluctuations of parameters and to avoid suffering major losses of livestock, it is in my best interest and the corals/fish to be checked on by those who have many more years of aquarium experience . Further, the size of my tank is a lot for a woman my height to handle without extra help, and lastly, the type of equipment I have needs to be checked and calibrated and I frankly don’t have the time while practicing law. Hope this answers your concerns! 🤙🏾
