- Tadej Pogačar's OPENING Giro Weekend Was The CRAZIEST Ever
The Giro d’Italia has finally begun, and already on the first weekend, it’s been as entertaining as ever. The numbers some of the best riders have been doing on the first climbs of the 2024 Giro were unlike anything we’re used to, and one man was responsible for most of it: the pink jersey favourite, Tadej Pogačar. So, what made the first days of this year’s Giro so special, and what were the watts and numbers behind the attacks?

Not sure why they made the video mostly be about how he didn't win the first stage, and how he didn't ride this other climb as fast as Pantani. Very wierd this video has almost a negative feel to it as far as Pogačar's involvement. The guy won three of the first nine stages and has 2 minute 40 second lead after the first week. He is even working as a teammate to help his sprinter. It was a great week of racing. And I'm glad Pogi is not blowing himself up for records on climbs. I want to see him in top form for the Tour de France. He has goals of winning more than just the Giro.
The underlying message is he is not on drugs like Pantani was, because we have to keep up the narrative that modern cyclists are doing this natty, and it's just their incredible nutrition and modern training methods that means they would beat the old school riders who were juiced to the gills.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention time travel. Personally I didn’t expect Pogi to win, but he did excellent work.

Anyone who expected an exiting Giro is out of their minds. There is literally no one here who can rival The Pog. And truth be told nowadays there is only one rider in the world who can really give him pain and that’s Jonas. But even for the stage wins- no Remco, no Primoz, no Mathieu and no Wout is a guarantee for a snoozefest. However good the other at the Giro might be, compared to Pogačar they are just average.
The lesson here: Don’t suck Pogi’s wheel.
It is not his fault all his main contenders got themselves hurt.

It is an amazing performance by Pogu but an exciting race? No. Will Tomas stay on the podium ? That's the only interesting thing so far.

The guys doesn't need special "vitamins". He is just better than everyone else. That's how it works. They race, and there will always be a winner. Sometímes that winner is mostly the same guy because he's better than the rest.
