Thank you so much for this video. I’m currently furloughed until end of July and feel after watching this will be more prepared if the worst case scenario happens.
Hi thank you for your video! I just got redundant today but never got a notice or a "you know we are thinking to close couples of our restaurant". The company has been sold for the most of it and they shut down my restaurant. We basically just got a message in the morning for a conference call at 6pm to be told we are all redundant. I worked there for 4 years and I am 27 years old. :/ no one was ever informed about the fact that the company was getting bought out. I am shocked but it is nothing compared to the fact that I needed to call all my colleagues who couldn't make it to the conference call, as I am the GM, to tell them our team and hard work are now something in the past. That sucked. Well anyway, thank you for your video!
Question, you obviously lose the redundancy pay when you accept another alternative role, but under a new contract or role you would not be protected if they wanted to say a year later after accepting that alternative role that the role is no longer working out or required so in reality you could end up worser off with no redundancy pay after acceptinga new contracted role with a company that is going through restructuring. Am I right? I have a decision to make so just double checking facts.
Hi, great video thanks. I have a question... what if they give the roll/job to someone else say when the work load picks up again and don't offer it back to me after redundancy?

That really does suck! I'm sorry to hear it. Maybe put in a call to ACAS or Citizens Advice. They have to consult with you before the decision is made
Soo sorry I’m going through this now
@@UltimateD755 really sorry to hear that. Hope you're ok

Very good information thank you
What can one do if you found out new details that your redundancy was unfair after 6 years?

Can your notice period count toward your 2-years service?
Missed you!!
Thank you! I missed being here. Statutory redundancy pay is tax and NIC free. The only good part of s bad situation 👍🏾
Great video!
Thank you! xx
