I was married to this man for 14 years… and there was just always something happening in our marriage…from lying, to cheating, to running terrible smear campaigns against me which I knew nothing about at the time… I did find out about things in such a weird way … it’s funny how things are found out . I did ask for a divorce because I had had enough… I was being destroyed for doing good and extended kindness to someone who actually disliked me…I also noticed how I had changed and was changing daily, my warm , friendly, loving and outgoing personality was going down the drain… I felt drained, I felt physically tired. After he left I got my self into counseling and through much prayer… I’m now working on me… Yes, Narcs Lust ..they just take, take, take & give nothing of themselves in return…

I was married for 24 years to a covert narcissist. He did so many things trying to break and destroy me. Instead he drank himself to his death. He couldn't get supply from me or anyone else anymore so the only way he could stand himself was to drink himself into oblivion every night. After he died I found out what I was dealing with. You're right he was pure evil walking upright. I lived with an empty shell. A robot. Thank you God for helping me make it through this horrible experience.

Sounds like my story. I was married to a covert narcissist for 22 yrs and he had me under his spell and nearly destroyed me. I took back my power and he eventually drank himself to death. It was a sad and wasted life for us both. Thank God I'm healing and still alive.

My narc and I had it all. The house, businesses, money and a beautiful son and daughter. Married 26 yrs with emotional, psychological, financial, fisical and eventually sexual abuse after I found out that he (62 yrs), are having an affair with a girl working at our shop age 36. We lost our son last year (he was a pilot), but even that did not stop him. I left, he wrote our daughter off and blocked her from contacting him to hurt me, and has now another 2 girls - one is 30 the other 26 - he is also sleeping with (and paying). We are busy losing it all as he decided he will not give my daughter and I one cent. Lawyers are involved. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it does not mean because you have money, that you are happy. If the person treat you right and love you for who you are, you can work through anything. I remember one time I said to him “why don’t you call one of that string of people who want to take my place!” It was about a year & a half later that I left. The rose colored glasses fell off one day. I saw him through a whole new set of eyes & left quietly. Never went back. He was so surprised “no one leaves me!” It’s been 2 yrs soon and yes he tries to entice me to come back. He bought a house one block from my narcissist mother. I don’t go to that county anymore 💚
The one I was with, told me that he had rose colored glasses on with me. I told him it was the other way around. He wasn't kin to the devil, he was the devil himself. God warned me but I just didn't listen at the beginning because he was a totally different person at first, so it seemed. It's been since 2019 and he still tries to have a piece of his mail sent to my address. Return to sender!

When I was 21, my husband took my car and went off to another state and ended up loaning it to someone who totaled it. When we bought it we put it in both our names. There was nothing I could do. I learned a lot from that. I make sure what's mine is in my name.

The problem is parsing out the difference between misunderstandings in every normal relationship and constant narcissistic abuse. Histrionic and borderline personalities are no picnic either. Walking on eggshells is when you realize that something is not normal.

My Ex Narc tried that getting a bigger place months after I just got a new car.
I thank God I followed my gut and didn't move out my current place.
Her next attempt was trying to get me to take a loan out for her to get some dental work.
Shortly after, she started the devaluing process, picking fights to create the discard.
She quit her job and left, thinking it would mess me up with the car note, and rent.
It did not by no means. She was always worried about my spending, unless it was on her.
I lived with all the trouble @ heartache but survived to tell.
My x narcissists said he did "networking" for "work-business" I now realize that was a big red flag. But I didn't know about narcissism then. I used to ignore my intuition now I listen to it.
One told me that too. Called himself a social entrepreneur looking for a job for his daughter!!! He started the love bombing, but I played along to see where he was headed (don't do this) and gave him distance for 90 days. He was showing his cloven hoof by 30 days. We were on different continents, and he was planning to visit and to find work for his child. I did not get the memo that I was supposed to buy his ticket and house him (who knows what else). However, the slight digs and "read more" text came in quick succession when I did not deliver whatever was on his agenda. I did not argue or fret. I confronted him and he acted like a lost person, but that demon in the text is vicious. Eventually, a woman he was dating contacted me. He had accused her of something and then told her ugly things about me. We compared notes and she called him a narcissist. That's when I first encountered the word. He is just that with a carefully crafted social profile. I told him to stop communicating. However, on my birthday he communicated. I just blocked him on every front.

I could have described this relationship myself it’s almost verbatim the experience I had with a covert narcissist. This is the relationship that was the catalyst for my spiritual awakening. Where I saw evil and no longer gave everyone the benefit of the doubt.
I met the narcissist in1980. He has been married five times, I never married him, but we are in our late 50's and he still keeps trying to come back. Heck NO!!!

He was dining there; several times & seemed so nice… She told me about him. We met through Facebook! We started dating, & it turned into 5 months. I ignored the 🚩; to get to know him better! It’s been 29 months, since I last saw him. I asked God to help me heal my 💔.
Before he ghosted me; he told me to go on, & live my life. And 1 minute he was talking in a normal tone; & the next minute his voice changed to a low growling tone, telling me, “ your going to have to get rid of all of this furniture “! Then his voice change’s, & goes back to his normal voice!

Dealing with narcs sent me to therapy too, I couldn't figure out what was going on...I quickly found out self-love, patience and asking alot of questions was the beginning of the remedy.

@@brownbagtarot34 true. a contact in one of these groups broke away and got his image and clarity restored. he moved from east coast to west coast. he said they were putting people on his social media and contacting him in other ways. they find ways to "stay in sync" with you. we have to cut all those off. if they are in "sync" with us they can ultimately disrupt us.

You speak the highest truth. I have been there too where he tried to destroy me emotionally, spiritually, socially, financially, with my employment and child. I was so blessed to see his plan and as he began to escalate, file a restraining order against him delivered by a US Marshall. It was a lot but once you have been with one then the signs are easier to spot. God bless you with your message that you are able to help others before it is too late.
There's some different terms I have heard to describe Narcissists: 1. Egopaths. 2. Egomania. 3. Organic portal (soulless being). Some people say their soul isn't a human soul. 4. Infected by the Wetiko mind virus (this one is super intellectual.). 5. Disconnected (psychopaths and sociopaths would be considered "hyper-disconnected"). The Quran talks about the "Deaf, dumb and blind"....that's how disconnected from truth and reality they are. They are beyond reaching and reason.
I have felt constricted for 20 years. I never knew what was going on. I stopped doing the things I enjoy to include having company at my own house. Can't even invite friends and family to my house because of the toxic energy and behaviors.

Once narc hovered me with an "I really miss you/us" after we discussed his new fiancé during a brief face to face exchange, to see if the door was open for him now. I congratulated them and kept him blocked.

Dear mother, I'm calling you mother as a sign of respect, great information, A father, mother, sister, brother, etc can be a narcissist, mine was my father, but I couldn't put my finger on it till I got 50 years old, when my mom passed, he was more open then my sister passed and it increased more and she was a narcissist also. Lucky me, God is good,,,,,,,,The DEMON walked into my life so I was semi ready for him. I am now 27 month total NO Contact, I love that you can laugh, I laugh also., I went total NO CONTACT don't want no parts of that EVIL, no parts was angry about being targeted in the first place.
