I experienced a double whammy with the narcissist I was involved with. He was also bi-polar. What a nightmare I went through! He almost destroyed me, took me many years to recover from the trauma. Now I am healed and happy once more. He ended up destroying himself. He passed away 2 years ago and what a sense of relief and peace there was!

I lost so much when I was in a relationship with a narcissist but I was totally ignorant to what was happening. I knew something was wrong and would often say Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde personality is what I was dealing with but learned after I had been out of the situation and after much research and healing over time that I had been abused emotionally and psychologically by someone who wanted to see me ruined. Look what i did." like a little kid coming in from school would say. it was really kind of creepy coming from a grandmother. now listen, this is really scary. i play piano. i never played around her before because something always told me not to. one day i got so fed up with her and her narcissistic ways i went into the other room, sat down and played Beethoven's fur elise. i knew it would affect her in some way, and you know what she did? that crazy woman grabbed my hand and tried to break my fingers! screamed at me, "i hate you! i hate you! i hate you!" scared the shit out of me. let me tell you. a narcissist is a dangerous person, whether they be male or female, a husband or a family member. they cant stand for someone to be better at something than they are. if you have a narc in your life get rid of them and go no contact.

He was making me think it was me and I was questioning myself about everything. I have always lived a bubbly, bright, joyful life; then he came along. I felt like I was going crazy!!! But I thank God I was led to research his behaviors and learned what I was dealing with. I was always two steps ahead of him then. I knew I was in the devaluing phase and was expecting the discard. He tried to discard me, but because God turned the tables, I was the one to leave first. I was a military spouse; he was active duty all those years. Had I realized this when we first met back in 1984, things would have been so different. This is so true, jealousy is the main trait and it feels like they want to be you. It takes a long time to figure it out as a good person would not hurt anyone or be jealous either. I feel this jealousy a lot from some people in my life and it has made me feel very sad and disillusioned. I think we have to pray everyone day first thing to ask for protection from such people. This is what I noticed. He'd impersonate how I speak. Then after the discard/hoovering phase, I noticed he'd use expressive words that I never used or he'd never used the entire time we were together! Similar thing happened with sex. He'd ask me to do things he'd never asked me to do before. I knew he was sleeping with another (but I never knew what Narcissism was at that time. I just sensed the energy and went by intuition that somethings were off). I know better now. 2 years seperated and def healing. He made a fool out of me. I am not giving another 15 years +. THEN, all of a sudden he gets himself a mohawk, starts listening to trendy music and starts going to the gym, because the girl he was cheating on me with loved mohawks, more current music and fit guys - WHILE I WAS PREGNANT WITH OUR CHILD! This explains a lot. My mother is a narc. I'm a medical worker and when i graduated with my degree, she started to copy me and all of a sudden became a medical advisor to family members. She was answering complex medical questions, but has no education or training. A family member had a massive stroke and didn't get to the hospital in time because they listened to her!

I just watched this video and subscribed to your channel...I was married to what is known as a "cobra batterer/abuser". Narcissism is at the root of this. He did his best to control me for 9 years, but I often fought back. I am GLAD I fought back! He was not jealous of anything about me at all, because he believed he is all of that and a bag of stale chips. He is on wife #4, 54 years old with a much younger wife. He has 5 and 7 year old children. I was wife #2, and the first to have kids with him. He wanted me to keep having children, but physically had trouble with both pregnancies (both boys are healthy adults). He had one child with wife #3. These men often want to keep having kids as if it's some kind of badge for them. I don't understand that part of abusers, but get the dynamics of abusive relationships otherwise. I always wrote down my feelings and things that happened in my life. So I have many journals from my past with the narc. Recently I found an entry that stated that we were watching tv and a woman came on; she was sobbing very painfullly and intensely. He looked at me and said "this is how I mane you cry, right?". At the time I didn't innerstand what that was about. It confused me to no end but I wrote it down because of it. Now I innerstand what that was. Just shocking. I suffered for so long trying to makea relationship with that loveless POS.

I experienced a double whammy with the narcissist I was involved with. He was also bi-polar. What a nightmare I went through! He almost destroyed me, took me many years to recover from the trauma. Now I am healed and happy once more. He ended up destroying himself. He passed away 2 years ago and what a sense of relief and peace there was!

I lost so much when I was in a relationship with a narcissist but I was totally ignorant to what was happening. I knew something was wrong and would often say Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde personality is what I was dealing with but learned after I had been out of the situation and after much research and healing over time that I had been abused emotionally and psychologically by someone who wanted to see me ruined. He almost succeeded but I came out of it.
Personality disorders should be a class that we take in middle school. I've experienced the same, and it wastes our time.

my step daughter is a narcissist. im so glad to be rid of her. i put up with her for 26 years until her father died. she was so jealous of me, she copied everything i did. at first i was flattered, you know. now this person is a grandmother, mind you, not a little kid. she took a sewing class, made an apron, because i could sew. took one of those one-day painting classes, painted a flower, because i painted. showed it to her daddy and said, "Look daddy. Look what i did." like a little kid coming in from school would say. it was really kind of creepy coming from a grandmother. now listen, this is really scary. i play piano. i never played around her before because something always told me not to. one day i got so fed up with her and her narcissistic ways i went into the other room, sat down and played Beethoven's fur elise. i knew it would affect her in some way, and you know what she did? that crazy woman grabbed my hand and tried to break my fingers! screamed at me, "i hate you! i hate you! i hate you!" scared the shit out of me.
let me tell you. a narcissist is a dangerous person, whether they be male or female, a husband or a family member. they cant stand for someone to be better at something than they are. if you have a narc in your life get rid of them and go no contact.

He was making me think it was me and I was questioning myself about everything. I have always lived a bubbly, bright, joyful life; then he came along. I felt like I was going crazy!!! But I thank God I was led to research his behaviors and learned what I was dealing with. I was always two steps ahead of him then. I knew I was in the devaluing phase and was expecting the discard. He tried to discard me, but because God turned the tables, I was the one to leave first. I was a military spouse; he was active duty all those years. He divorced me and I made sure I did not get a penny of his pension. But guess what, I am ok with that because God has provided, and I am free!!!

This is so true, jealousy is the main trait and it feels like they want to be you. It takes a long time to figure it out as a good person would not hurt anyone or be jealous either. I feel this jealousy a lot from some people in my life and it has made me feel very sad and disillusioned. I think we have to pray everyone day first thing to ask for protection from such people. They sometimes come with a big broad smile and as we said we have to be so careful.

I’ve had the same experiences, love. Narcissism is so PREVALENT. I only have one person, a colleague, whom I am sure absolutely loves, adores and cherishes me (and I him). He’s like a nephew to me. He even contacts me to greet me on Holidays, even though he gives me greeting cards. Such a sweet soul. So REAL with everyone! Brilliant, extremely professional, self-aware and emotionally intelligent. He truly cares about humanity. All who aren’t threatened by/jealous of him LOVE him, too!
Genuinely kind, sweet people who truly want the best for others seem VERY RARE these days. There’s much jealousy and unnecessary competition. I compete with NO ONE. I know and LOVE who I am and want to love people for their [naturally] kindhearted nature and authentic selves. I want everyone to enjoy the best life possible, even if they have/acquire things that I may desire…long before I even receive mine (if, I ever do). It’s about one’s state of consciousness that matters most, not what we have or what society says we “should” have.

He tried to live like me, dress like me & drive a car like mine which has him in debt right now that he’s mad about. But, he was trying to leave me empty. He was so jealous of me and he was sleeping with the ER doctor both of color. I keep trying to educate women of color to be careful, this happens alot of our community. Of course and can happen in other communities but yes it's scary. I left him alone years ago and he keeps trying to contact me and has done evil spell work on me and he was an alcoholic, a narcissist, angry, has kids and grandkids too. I am now 39.5, I really wish he would leave me alone, haven't talked to him in years. I blocked him, moved 4 hours away he doesn't know that but He tries to research information on me. Recently emailed me today and I will never respond.

This is what I noticed.
He'd impersonate how I speak.
Then after the discard/hoovering phase, I noticed he'd use expressive words that I never used or he'd never used the entire time we were together!
Similar thing happened with sex. He'd ask me to do things he'd never asked me to do before. I knew he was sleeping with another (but I never knew what Narcissism was at that time. I just sensed the energy and went by intuition that somethings were off).
I know better now.
2 years seperated and def healing. He made a fool out of me. I am not giving another 15 years +. My sanity means so much more. My peace is every thing to me.

About the narc morphing into whoever they're with....when he was with his wife before me, he was very preppy, then with me, he had more of a rock n roll look, cause that's my thing. He started dressing like me, listening to the same music - while saying he always liked my favorite bands but I knew damn well he'd never heard of half of them lol. THEN, all of a sudden he gets himself a mohawk, starts listening to trendy music and starts going to the gym, because the girl he was cheating on me with loved mohawks, more current music and fit guys - WHILE I WAS PREGNANT WITH OUR CHILD! AND...SHE WAS ONLY 17! HE WAS 37! That's a whole nother discussion right there! Now he's remarried to a COUNSELOR and he's more preppy than ever. With those ugly brown loafers, tucked in shirts and khakis 😆🤮😂

This explains a lot. My mother is a narc. I'm a medical worker and when i graduated with my degree, she started to copy me and all of a sudden became a medical advisor to family members. She was answering complex medical questions, but has no education or training. A family member had a massive stroke and didn't get to the hospital in time because they listened to her!

I just watched this video and subscribed to your channel...I was married to what is known as a "cobra batterer/abuser". Narcissism is at the root of this. He did his best to control me for 9 years, but I often fought back. I am GLAD I fought back! He was not jealous of anything about me at all, because he believed he is all of that and a bag of stale chips. He is on wife #4, 54 years old with a much younger wife. He has 5 and 7 year old children. I was wife #2, and the first to have kids with him. He wanted me to keep having children, but physically had trouble with both pregnancies (both boys are healthy adults). He had one child with wife #3. These men often want to keep having kids as if it's some kind of badge for them. I don't understand that part of abusers, but get the dynamics of abusive relationships otherwise. I always wrote down my feelings and things that happened in my life. So I have many journals from my past with the narc. Recently I found an entry that stated that we were watching tv and a woman came on; she was sobbing very painfullly and intensely. He looked at me and said "this is how I mane you cry, right?". At the time I didn't innerstand what that was about. It confused me to no end but I wrote it down because of it. Now I innerstand what that was. Just shocking. I suffered for so long trying to makea relationship with that loveless POS.

Some of her friends would tell me that she was jealous of me, painting a picture of the horrible person I was , don't trust me... but she, herself, would call me to shop with her, travel and almost everything together.
