    When all is lost, Walls of Babylon, Nevermore etc these are far more cohessive songs that still keep a certain level of tehnicality, Michael Romeo going new level of guitar insanity here, Russel Allen voice aged like wine by this time etc.

    Please try The Odyssey (based on homer's Odyssey) by Symphony X if you cover them next! It's imo their best epic song after Divine's Wings of Tragedy (based on paradise lost and paradise regained by Milton). This is my favorite band btw, they are Progressive Symphonic Metal.

      The guitarist of the band, Michael Romeo, mixes Neo-classical metal and classical progressions with progressive music which makes for a really unique sound. As you said, the progressive elements are the X factor that make it stick out amongst other symphonic metal, that's why Michael named the band Symphony X.

    • @JuniioMusic

      @@JazzyBassy oohhhhhhhhh okay the name's starting to make sense now. That's pretty cool though, I've always loved the influence that classical music has had on metal.

    I have an unusual request. This band creates unique soundscapes with unusual & custom instruments. Its dark and a brilliant composition (sort of ode to the ted.k)

    If you visit this band again, check out Kiss of Fire for a total 180. It's a lot heavier. Lots of sick riffs. Listening to a song like Edge of Forever and Kiss of Fire is a great lapse of their evolving music.

    Yes, I watch your videos to the end. Why? BECAUSE YOU SLAY ME, BUDDY. (I pride myself on being both deeply disturbed and deeply disturbing.) The Symphony X number could have been a little more on the metal side and a little less on the prog side for my tastes, but the band is obviously talented. (Respect!) My humble suggestions? Steven Wilson's "Pariah (from Home Invasion: In Concert at the Royal Albert Hall)". Steve's voice on this one is great; Ninet Tayeb's voice just wipes me out. And for the Old School types out there, try "Siberian Khatru" by Yes. You'll thank me in the morning.

    Ok man. Kinda feel the need to react a bit at your vids. I mean I watched a bunch of them but your picks don't suite me ...mostly... I'm a metalhead (at the core, though I listen to a lot of other stuff), to be more precise more on the extrem-er side. It's your channel man, you react to whatever you want, but I 'd love to see/hear more metal... I mean real metal, not all this friendly stuff (meaning progressive, rock or whatever accessible) or what the trendies call metal (like Metallica, Pantera... Baby Metal... Korn and so on). At some point you asked me for some recommendations regarding the extreme metal. I said then that I'll react to whatever you'll up, but honestly, I don't have to what to react to for this vids don't really appeal to me (which is fine after all). So, if you still want some recs, I'll give you a few new and fresh ones that are more on my side of "music" and I find kinda more..."alive" then what I usually see on your channel: Warpath - Into the Dark; Cattle Decapitation - An Exposition of Insides; Sacrificium Carmen - Kaitselmuksen Tähti; Graveland - Odchodząc w Chwale (not new but the album is re-recorded this year); Deceased - Germ of Distorted Lore; Sigh - Homo Homini Lupus; Fabulous Desaster - The Revenge Of The Mighty Alouatta; Ascension - Ever Staring Eyes; Hate Eternal - Upon Desolate Sands; Scarlet Peace - Tempus. I think everything is out this year (mostly this fall), except for the Graveland. You do whatever you feel like man, take this in account or not, doesen't matter that much. But if you'll go more on this metal path of mine, I'll probably still stick around. Sorry for the long message.

    • @JuniioMusic
      @JuniioMusic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries about the long message man, your thoughts are appreciated. And I definitely see where you're coming from, I'm trying to do my best to get a decent balance of crowd favorites and stuff that I'll like, but it has been way too long since I've done something more extreme. I'll take another look at your older suggestions and the ones in this comment and try to do one of the songs this week!

    • @warphalak
      @warphalak 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JuniioMusic No rush bro. I actually just want to see some more extreme metal (don't have to pick any of my recs. Maybe I'll find some bands that I don't know of. You said some vids ago that you're actually listening to a lot more extreme metal - I think you said black metal mostly - so obviously I'm curious what bands), if you're in for it. If not, no harm done.

    • @warphalak
      @warphalak 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JuniioMusic You know as your channel will grow, you won't be able take all the recs you're receiving. So the best way I think is still to do your own stuff... not the other way around.
